Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Agreed. I think the shuttle access will make this part a lot easier. That's why I'm trying to proactively work with superfly rather than not....
Also what was meant to be inferred is that I am willing to do whatever it takes not literally relying on bribes lol. You are taking a quarter of the statement and superimposing it as my definitive response but if you go back and look at the rest of the statement you will understand what I truly said and meant.
They dont deal to well with people "doing whatever it takes" they want people to follow the rules that they have established after 10 years of hosting this awesome fest.
The guy will get experience doing it this year so he can do it for the years after. There's always bumps in the road, and let the 50 people who take a chance with this guy overcome them.
You all sound like a bunch of arrogant douchebags (not all of you, but you know who you are), let the kid learn from his mistakes. If you think it's too risky, then don't take his offer. It's that simple.
He's learning things here, we should be helping this guy have a successful trip, not bash him for his inexperience.
You are all just cluttering his thread for people that ACTUALLY want answers and that would like to ask about this. It's called spam, and that's against the rules for any social networking site, including forums. Go play on your high horse somewhere else.
EDIT: We don't take bribes, especially at the tollbooths. If someone does, they probably can't help you and are just taking your money because they think you are an idiot. Your best bet is to keep trying to contact Bonnaroo, like every day.
The problem is that most of the posts that were trying to guide him in the right direction were met with arrogance and rude comments.
The point is the only reason this whole thing might only be mildly successful because of the information he's received on here. But he's either not taking the advice or he is and is being a penis about it.
I don't think it's the actual idea he's attempting, but the attitude with which he's doing it.
As far as meh, let him do his thing and if we don't like it don't go. Well I for one am not using his service, but I don't think the comments are cluttering the thread. If anything it's giving anyone coming here looking for answers more information to think about before making their decision.
When I look into booking a hotel I like to read positive and negative reviews. It's easy to talk about the positive. But that won't help someone, especially someone that's never been there before, make a more informed decision on whether or not to put money and trust with this person.

jniamehr - I know you haven't been to Bonnaroo before but have you attended other multi-day music festivals in the past? Specifically camping ones? Sorry if you answered this question already.
The problem is that most of the posts that were trying to guide him in the right direction were met with arrogance and rude comments.
Karen, I dont think I was rude to anyone (except juggs, who was clearly and obviously rude first and then someone said "thats just juggs" as if its okay for him to be rude) and I clearly said not to sound arrogant etc. when I thought I may sound arrogant because its the last thing I want. To date you have called me MANY names and I dont think I have ever responded to any of your posts except the one about raising your kids, rudely.
The point is the only reason this whole thing might only be mildly successful because of the information he's received on here. But he's either not taking the advice or he is and is being a shlong about it.
Karen I have said to you and other THANK YOU many times, Ill buy you a beer too if we ever meet in Centeroo... Im the last person that would want to be called ungrateful... again thank you everyone including juggs, who has chimed in on this post and wants us to succeed. But I knew days before anyone commented here that shuttle designation and bonnaroo's involvement would be necessary...
I don't think it's the actual idea he's attempting, but the attitude with which he's doing it.
Karen, again I think the internet conveys a totally different aura or attitude that I truly emit. I am always opulent and proactive and if thats not what you are getting than its just being misunderstood when passed with all the 0101010110010101 that make this the internet.
As far as meh, let him do his thing and if we don't like it don't go. Well I for one am not using his service, but I don't think the comments are cluttering the thread. If anything it's giving anyone coming here looking for answers more information to think about before making their decision.
--Yes, exactly I agree.... I just wish you all would be a little more polite and a little less cynical.

--Agreed, this bus trip might not be for everyone, not claiming its for everyone, but if you think its for you, then please join us!

Yep, Ive been to Coachella, the vibes and burning man!
Wrong, partner. Part of people's problem with what's going on is that it's not just this one guy who would have to learn from his mistakes, but the 50+ people he entices into the trip. Not only that, but he's posted about his bus in plenty of threads where people say something like "hey, I'm a 19 year old and I'm going to my first Bonnaroo, I need a ride, any ideas?" It seems like a large majority of people who are interested in/being targeted for this trip are first timers, who don't have the experience necessary to know what they're getting in to. I'm all for letting people learn from their mistakes, but I'm not cool with that when their mistakes could negatively impact others who have zero clue about what they should be watching out for.
Wrong. He's NOT learning things here - any time a suggestion is made that doesn't seem to vibe with what he's looking to do, he gets defensive and suggests that he'll figure it all out, that he's talking to Bonnaroo, etc. When people suggest that maybe he try the fest out for a year, see how it goes, get a feel for how it's run, and then maybe try and talk to Bonnaroo next year BEFORE booking a bus and selling seats, he starts posting his resume. Some have been quite nice about it (I am not one of them), but his response doesn't really change.
EDIT: We don't take bribes, especially at the tollbooths. If someone does, they probably can't help you and are just taking your money because they think you are an idiot. Your best bet is to keep trying to contact Bonnaroo, like every day.
This is false. The crew I go to Bonnaroo with is ~70+ people large. We're usually in a caravan of anywhere from 15-30 vehicles. As you might imagine, it's tough to keep that many vehicles together going through the gates, as they split traffic up in multiple directions. Every year, we take up a collection, and give it to one of the traffic supervisors, who lets us pull all our vehicles to the side once we're through the gates, and then wait for our whole crew to get in before directing us all to the same parking area. So bribes are taken, and they work. Also, the first year they really enforced the "no glass" policy, I was unaware of this before heading in, and had a couple cases of beer that they wanted me to dump. I dropped a couple bucks on the guy doing my search, and he let me through. So it might not be widespread (and I doubt there's any amount of bribes that would let a bus in, drop people off, then turn around), but it happens.
The only thing I can agree with is that you have not been nice. I am learning and do appreciate everyones feedback. I am marketing to anyone who needs a ride. Im actively courting a group of people (9+) who have been to roo the last 7 years to join us. Your blanket statements are full of Leno. You're a dick and I see no need to be polite with you anymore or attempt to. When Im wrong I say Im wrong, when I believe in something I defend it. When youre a dick you stay a dick and you come a dick and you go as a dick.
Also what kind of response are you looking for exactly? You have pointed out one thing and one thing only thus far and no one seems to care when I say this time and time again... The distance and the logistics of getting into the festival is the only concern that has been brought up here. Am I missing anything else?

Thanks again mate... I wish more people has this attitude on this board... I never said I dont need help in fact the opposite...
A pedophile and a little kid are walking into the woods, at night. It's really dark and the little kid says "Mister, I'm scared!" The pedophile says "you're scared? I have to walk home alone!"
Dude your freakish obsession with rape, pedophile's and porn are really starting to creep me the f out. Is there something you want to tell the world about yourself? An attorney by day and a creep mcgreep by night? Its just a tad bit weird dont you think?

Obviously you aren't a fan of the comedy of Sarah Silverman.
I actually am a fan dont remember that specifically though... but you always seem to allude to the same thing so I just thought you might have something you want to let off your chest and then have us call 911 for... BTK was a Church president, club scout leader etc... wouldnt put it passed a rude attorney to be a little boy/girl toucher....

Well, not really. I've never alluded to porn (hint: that tagline under my username wasn't put there by me), this is my first joke about pedophilia, probably ever, and I only mentioned rape because your arrogance and the way you keep asking young girls to get on the bus with you struck me as being rapey. But you're doing a swell job, keep it up. I know that after reading through this thread I really get the impression that you'd be an awesome person to spend 18 hours on a poorly-planned bus trip with.
Ya I thought so too! You really bring out the best in me now dont you... We should totally be best friends, like omg totally!... Again how many dudes have I said the same thing to? What the quack does being struck as rapey mean? You strike me as a total D0UCHE but I mean I didnt start saying it till you started with me.... Like your mother should have told you... if you have nothing nice to say... dont say anything at all... and to be clear Im not saying not be be a critic, blunt, honest, or provide feedback just dont be a D-I-C-K about it. Which you have most definitely been and continue to be.
LOL - honestly after all this I wish I knew who you really were - I feel like its one of my friends f'ing with me after all the epic pranks Ive pulled on them over the years... but that would be nearly impossible for them to pull off since you have thousands of posts in this forum... so yup must just be a board fanboy AND troll living in mum's basement...
We used to have this issue with people being rude/trollish over at TechCrunch the problem was solved when they made everyone use a facebook account to post... This really solved the problem of being authentic and real and non trollish. Obviously at the cost of 4th wall/consumer privacy and anonymity but it cut the amount of posts in half and got rid of all the nonsense people were talking and bashing people... If you used your true identity I dont think you would behave the way you do... so by definition you arent keeping it real are you?

EDIT: Who is an attorney, my bad....
3600 posts, over 5 years. That's ~700/year, or an average of 2/day. Don't need to be a fanboy living in a basement to achieve that - in fact, it's probably pretty disappointing from a basement-dweller's perspective.
You're right you're a pretty disappointing basement dweller I concur. Finally we agree on something...

jniamehr - Juggs is just that way. He's bound to ruffle feathers but in his own weird way he was trying to help you see some potential problems. It's since erupted into back and forth bickering but whatever....that's besides the point.
He's not a troll. He's a lawyer and entertaining regular poster who is actually really helpful and informative. You've just seen his argumentative side.
I applaud your efforts and hope that the trip is a success without any major problems. You can use this trip either as a way to plan for next year or to find out that it's not worth the hassle. We'll see. Either way....hope Roo ends up being great.

Wow, what a waste of money. I'd let you do that for free.
Enjoy being a smurf!
EDIT: Just out of pure curiosity, how do you know the guy is a supervisor?
Thanks! It just seems we are butting heads because whether he may like it or not we are both argumentative people... Before I decided to not continue my scholastic education I wanted to be an attorney as well and was on debate team in uni and hs maybe thats why we are both butting heads... I apologize if I hurt anyones feelings and feel as if I was a bit misunderstood along the way but anyways it will be a great roo for all I hope and may see some of you there having a great time. I will keep you posted on the shuttle bus designation, and if anyone else has tips or resources that would be of help it would be greatly appreciated. itrainmonkeys I dont know your real name either but Im sending you a PM regarding the bus just a heads up here.
Wow, what a waste of money. I'd let you do that for free.

EDIT: Just out of pure curiosity, how do you know the guy is a supervisor?
I'm not sure how the guy is generally recognized as a supervisor, we've got a cute girl who handles the arrangement. I usually hang back in the line and drink. And it's a solid investment - it's actually a pretty huge hassle for them to let us line up 30+ cars inside in the gates, so I don't mind "tipping." Well worth it.
What does it matter where the drivers are staying?
Really? You've been an entrepreneurial prodigy since adolescence and you don't see why this is a hilariously bad point to gain people's trust.
- A 40 minute drive shows an alarming lack of planing. You keep saying that you will get people as close as possible to the camping areas. Yet, you can't get the service you are providing people with within 30 miles of the festival.
- One of the first things on your site writeup is "Eco"er"-Friendly," then you brag about the driver's cheap hotel room. It's 40 minutes away. According to your original plan, that's at least 200 miles of driving back and forth. Again, it shows a lack of logistical planing.
- What if you have a costumer with a medical issue who has left their meds on the bus, etc.... They shouldn't have to wait 40 minutes to get to there basic needs in an emergency. And that's just getting the bus back. YOU are responsible for this situation. Are you gonna be sober? Can you contact the drivers and get the needed item back ASAP? How long would it take?

I love how you keep calling people that disagree with you trolls.
I'll actually troll you if you want.. I'll make stupid pics until you actually get your act together and prove why anyone should trust you. Get an itinerary up and prove that you can do something besides talk about how awesome you are.
I was thinking you could use these as flyers...

First there are plenty of people who have disagreed that I have not called a troll such as Karen... Whom I never called a troll... I debated with her, rather hotly but agree with most of what she has said. Trolling if you have been around the Internet for long enough, is the act of coming onto a thread with no authentic things to say and just wanting to cause a ruckus.
Nice photoshopping!
Can we get the rights to reuse those images?
Btw, No one has brought their medical needs to my attention, and if/when that happens I would put them in touch with the people over at roo since they are the ones who are making special accommodations for medical conditions, not I. I appreciate your concern though. I am going to have a good time, as for my sobriety I am not a drinker and will probably not be under the influence of alcohol for the majority of the trip. I will be live blogging for huffington post and elephant journal so it would be pretty hard for me to write interesting live blog pieces, edit them and post them up all while I am inebriated.
I found a nice hotel 37 miles rather than 30 miles away... It's 7 miles... It's Eco friendly because instead of having 20-25 cars we have one bus. The reason I got the room is not because it's cheap, it's because it's nice and cheap... And the drivers do not want to be in the middle of the town where the festival is, I want them to be relaxed and refreshed. Do you have any suggestions as to another hotel? I am open to other options... Also if the hotel room was much more expensive it would raise the ticket prices a few bucks.
If it were me, I'd move the departure time up. If you get there at noon, spend 6 hrs in line, unload and drag stuff to tent only your looking at 8pm for having camp set up. Any time I've gotten there at noon, it was dark by the time I got camp set up. Not a big deal if your group doesnt mind missing the first shows on thursday, but some of your customers might like to see the first shows.
Honestly, I'd try and arrive by 8 am. Nothing ever goes as well as planned.
Yet you forget to mention that my commitment is to my customers (the bus guests) and the word bribing is used dramatically... you have never had to give a doorman or hostess a 20$-100$ bill for prompt service?
To me, it says something about a person, who in one breath speaks of ethical standard and telling the truth and in the next breath paying bribes, no matter what you are talking about. And yes, Tipping is different than bribing.
The bigger point of my post was to point out your lack of planning. People should know, I think this thread brings light to it, that you are winging this. You think you have a good plan, but you are not really sure. It sounds good in theory. People should know, at this time, you have no idea what to expect when you get to Roo. To me, the only wind under your "wings" comes from people on this thread. To me, and I could be wrong, you have "winged" things your whole life. It seems like you are involved in a hundred projects. Live Blogging for the Washington post? Does that give you like media status? (FTR, people who talk a lot about their accomplishments, name drop, are usually not telling the whole truth) It seems like none of your adventures have failed and I hope you do not this June, but I think you are due. At least you will have 50 other people to experience this fail with you. Sucks for them. It also seems like you should be rich with everything you have going on. Rich enough to not have worry about having beautiful young people fork up some bucks so you can get a free ride to Roo and all you did was plan the Party bus road trip from hell, I mean NY. (Nice pics SFA!!! )
Since your credibility is in question, you have been to Coachella, the Vibes, and Burning Man. I have two questions, In what city did these festivals take place and who was a headliner at each those events?
I love how you keep calling people that disagree with you trolls.
I'll actually troll you if you want.. I'll make stupid pics until you actually get your act together and prove why anyone should trust you. Get an itinerary up and prove that you can do something besides talk about how awesome you are.

The teal is a little hard to read. Maybe a different font?
100% Rape Free? false advertisement, he's rapping everyone on that bus.

No, you didn't call Karen a troll. You questioned how she raises her children and claimed that some of the things she said were slanderous and libel. You then devalued all the advise she had given you because you got your panties in a wad.
Thanks for defining what a troll is. I never knew. Who's had nothing authentic to say? Name one person and Juggs doesn't count because he brought up the same concerns as the rest of us 'trolls."
To recount without sounding arrogant or pompous or a smurf hole or and jerkstore or a rapist or skeevy or whatever you can pull out of the trolltionary....... and if you're a troll please go away.
Just to keep everyone updated! I'm now talking to Roo director of operations, hashing out the details and getting approval for all the nay Sayers you can almost find another forum to troll.
Karen and Juggs, when this trip goes excellent and the forum members come back will you be sure to send me an apology letter or some chocolate covered strawberries from my friends over at berries.com please?
You are implying there are multiple trolls in this tread. It's an attempt to discount what people are saying. You are trying to make it like your are being bullied when you absolutely deserve all the scrutiny you are getting.
So far so good not one person has asked for their money back and am only getting emails not to sweat this cluster of trolls
Using your own definition. Tell us who the trolls are. Who is hurting your wittle feelings and unfairly questioning your genius? Almost everyone evolved in this thread are very active users of this board. It's laughable that you would try to dismiss us as trolls.
Nice photoshopping!
Can we get the rights to reuse those images?
Thank you and yes! I'll actually make you some good ones.
Btw, No one has brought their medical needs to my attention, and if/when that happens I would put them in touch with the people over at roo since they are the ones who are making special accommodations for medical conditions, not I.
That was a hypothetical example of one of a hundred little things that could go wrong. It's very telling that your solution would be to pass the buck to the people at Roo.
I will be live blogging for huffington post and elephant journal so it would be pretty hard for me to write interesting live blog pieces, edit them and post them up all while I am inebriated.
It shouldn't be hard for you to write something interesting. Are you blogs going to be about how you installed solar panels in a third world country while simultaneously rocking out to My Morning Jacket?
I found a nice hotel 37 miles rather than 30 miles away... It's 7 miles... It's Eco friendly because instead of having 20-25 cars we have one bus. It's a short drive for me. I don't need information on local hotels. Plus, my friends have never called me 'the most resourceful person they know." You'll figure it out buddy.
Why would it raise the ticket prices? You're willing to bribe people at the gate, buy an RV pass, etc. That's not going to raise the ticket prices.
Like I said in my first post. Get your ducks in a row and post an itinerary. Then tell us when you get in touch with the folks at Roo. Do all of the stuff you should have done before you started asking people for money.

We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
