Sheep Dogs and Blind Pilot added. I'm def going but I'm so irritated about this birdbrained lineup drop. Anybody got a 3-day pass to sell?
Depending on whether I get press creds (which I have never NOT for VooDoo) I may have at least one if not two early bird passes to sell (at face value of $75 plus taxes and shipping). So if you THINK you might want/need them let me know and I'll put you at the top of the list.

I definitely want one, I go to Voodoo every year. I'd take the other one to for a ladyfriend from Austin that wants to make it out. You live in OB right? Or is that just a beachhouse? If so I would meet up with ya and kick ya down something nice as well

So far there are 30 bands listed on the Voodoo site.
Of them, three are an actual draw for me.
Soundgarden The Raconteurs Ray Davies
Cheap Trick and Snoop are runners up.
Obviously there is other cool stuff on there, but nothing that makes me want to fly 1,300 miles and spend hundreds of dollars for.
After 3 years straight, I hate to say it, but I think I just really don't care at this point.
I have the days off work, and a hotel reservation that I can cancel. Hopefully Voodoo will do something really SOON to WOW me. I truly WANT them to. I LOOOVE NOLA, but I've also been there MANY MANY times. So, as far as Voodoo goes, I need the FESTIVAL itself to BE the DRAW. Not the city it is located in.
Okay Voodoo... last chance to blow me AWAY.
Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to (hopefully) see you next year.

Sorry Sang, but I keep my football and my music completely seperated except for the AU Fight Song and the Team Tunnel Videos....
So Caddy, you go to the front of the line for the ticket(s)....I'll let you know as soon as I know. I don't actually live in OB, my parents have a place there that I go down a couple times a year. I live in North Alabama. But could possibly be in OB one more time before Voodoo. But I'll let you know.
OK...I mean like Soundgarden, Ray Davies and the Raconteurs aren't enough....we get Cheap Trick, Ozolmati, Keller, Mates of State, Fitz and the Tantrums (poppy but I really do LIKE a lot of their stuff and am looking forward to see what they bring live!) Portugal the Man, Fatboy Slim and TV on the Radio! And that doesn't even BEGIN to mention ANY of the techno stage bands! I personally think it is a strong lineup. As strong as years past eh...probably not. But then show me a festie this year that has had a STELLAR lineup. Bonnaroo turned out to be great but just looking at the lineup I was just a notch above Meh for it...
I don't know if that Bama girl is trying to convince us or herself, but this lineup is atrocious so far.
Agreed, I was looking forward to Voodoo this year and with the delays and this line-up, I might be taking October off. Hope you guys and gals have lots of fun in the Big Easy!

I don't have to convince myself...anyone who knows me knew as soon as SG was announced I would be there! And if it isn't your taste I get that...I love music festies but there are some that just aren't my thing either....you like what you like. I LOVE NOLA, really like some of the acts and can always find good music if I DON'T like who's playing...not to mention the food and ever flowing booze. And the less crowded it is, the easier it will be for me to get close to CC and Matt Cameron! So, actually ya'll just stay away....it's an awful lineup and NOLA is a downer.
So many people bitching about Voodoo lineup, but honestly, the only thing I don't care for is Blink/MCR. There is other stuf I won't check out, but I don't know much about. The Le Plur stage will keep all the kids on goofballs away from the good music for the most part.
I'm actually really excited about this lineup. It's mostly bands I haven't seen before! Festivals are usually 80+% bands I've seen before, this is like 80% bands I haven't seen. I'm going to have a new experience here, and it's gonna be fantastic.
Weren't they at Roo with Dr John?? Pretty sure I remember that set...but always fun to see them! This will be at least the second or third time but it's ALWAYS incredible!

I feel like they've been opening for bigger bands for so long that they're due for a solo tour, especially with a new album out. Haven't they done length stretches with both Deftones and Tool recently? I can't remember the last time they had their own headlining tour.
As it stands now I am MORE into the lineup than ROO....and I know what VooDoo is capable of pulling out in literally a week before the fest. So hang on!
