it's easier to forecast temperatures (roughly) than [diurnal] precipitation a few days out. It's still looking hot and dry.... dry as in no rain, but still humid.

I really love this thread. My kids have been begging to go camping before I leave, so we slept in the tent at my parents house Anyway, from like 2-6am, it was cold! It got down to 59, and my nose was frozen. I guess that surprised me, because it was 90° and humid when we went to bed. Soo I'm liking the temps I see for roo!
Don't forget what ever the temps are in Manchester, in those huge crowds it is going to be 10 to 15 degrees hotter! Add another 20 degrees for the cozy insides of your tents as well.

Had 40+ mph winds here for about an hour but no rain. Some nearby got 1-2 inches of rain. This is the type of weather we may need to be ready for at Roo this year. Unpredictable (except for the heat which we can count on.)

yeah, we (franklin co.) were under a thunderstorm watch until 5:00. it got a little windy and overcast, but never any rain. however, i went to tullahoma (10 in from manchester) and they got a good shower. showers are going to be very spotty and not last long at all. today has actually been a pretty pleasant day. nice to have this close to roo!
just bought two battery powered coleman fans for my tent. heat or super heat, either way i am going to sleep hours past sunrise! at least i hope so for the love of god
I wouldn't count on that rain. Last year's forecast was call for rain everyday and we got none. Unless you count the first 5 minutes of the Dead Weather set
Yeah but there was plenty of rain on Wednesday night!

Just did the same. About $12 each at Wal Mart. Well worth it.
With the predicted heat and humidity, the air will be very unstable. This will mean that there will likely be pop-up T-storms somewhere. Whether they hit Roo or not, who can say? But I'd be ready just in case. Bring a poncho ($1 at the dollar store) and keep things that can't get wet close to cover. Also taking a couple of ziplock bags into Centeroo is great for your camera/phone/etc.
A little rain is nice on a hot day. A lot of rain and high winds can ruin your day.
Lowerdeck, did you see our local forecast? It's supposed to be 96 here on Thursday- we go to TN and the heat spreads to CT. At least we'll be rockin out while our friends and family are working and roasting
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Question about the lows. Some people say to bring a long sleeve shirt and a blanket because it can get cold at night (although I know its relative). But if 67-70 are the lows at night, how cold is that considered by roo standards?

Its not cold. BUT when you're baking in the heat and direct sunlight all day long, it does FEEL cold when the temperature drops 30 degrees. If that makes any sense...

yes it's more that you've been out in the sun all day so you'll probably feel a little chillier at night...also when you're leaving the big late night crowds it can feel pretty cold after you've been dancing/sweating in the tents
