We might get a weak cold front moving through this weekend. Notice how they're not very wide though so it would be probably only last a couple hours or so (unless it stalls). The only difference between this and an afternoon shower is that with a front the rain is more predictable and widespread.

South Central Ky was hot and muggy today.Visitors from the North prepare.Overall doesn't sound bad though and once the sun goes down it's not bad at all.Lots of late night fun.
But I've heard voices not in the head Out in the air they called ahead Through ripped out speakers Through thick and thin They found a shelter Under my skin -Evgeny Aleksandrovitch Nikolaev
HOT AND MAINLY DRY CONDITIONS SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY AS UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM REMAINS ANCHORED ACROSS THE TENNESSEE VALLEY. AS A RESULT, DON`T SEE MUCH REASON TO EXPECT ANYTHING MORE THAN SOME ISOLATED MAINLY AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE NEXT 3 DAYS, WHICH MEANS THE BIGGEST MAJORITY OF OUR FORECAST AREA WILL REMAIN RAIN-FREE.
FOR THE LATTER PART OF THE WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK, A WEAK COLD FRONT DRIFTS SOUTHWARD ACROSS THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY AND WILL LIKELY PROVIDE US WITH A SOMEWHAT BETTER CHANCE FOR AFTERNOON CONVECTION, ESPECIALLY OVER NORTHERN AND EASTERN AREAS SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
-------- South KY office:
THE MODELS CONTINUE TO BE IN QUITE GOOD AGREEMENT THROUGH THE SHORT TERM PORTION OF THE FORECAST AS THE LATEST RESURGENCE OF THE RIDGE MAXIMIZES OVERHEAD LATER TODAY. THIS DOES NOT LAST LONG...THOUGH AND IT STARTS TO WEAKEN LATER TONIGHT
IN THIS ENVIRONMENT...THE DIURNAL CYCLE (afternoon scattered showers) WILL DOMINATE THE SKY COVER AND PRECIPITATION CHANCES.
----------
This should be pretty self explanatory, but here's the translation:
slim chance of rain until saturday... then a decent chance saturday eve and sunday. Low 90s for the highs.
I'm leaving in a few hours so this is my last post. BONNAROOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

There was a light sprinkle a few minutes ago in Murfreesboro, and there's popup storms off to the east and northeast of I-24 already.
This Afternoon: Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 10pm. Patchy fog after 1am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 69. West wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday Night: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 10pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Sunday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
I dunno if anyone else down here is reading this, or following up, but here's a heads up.
50 percent chance of storms today or this evening as the cold front is moving through. Once it finally does, it'll go down to the mid-upper 80s for tomorrow/Monday. Decent chance Dustaroo ends today though. Though knowing how things have ended up: Murfreesboro will get the storm again while Manchester gets nothing.
It's also muggier out today than the previous couple days. Dewpoints are now in the middle-upper 60s, while Thurs and Fri they were at more comfortable levels. This too should improve whenever the front passes.
