Those historical averages are very misleading. We've only had 2 of 9 years in the 80's and one of those it rained/drizzled most of the time ('05). I would LOVE these temps but don't hold your breath.
Most likely low 90's and mid 60's, meaning humid. Humidity will determine night temps. If the humidity is lower then likely nights in the 50's.
2007 was hot and dry so upper 90's and 50's.
Last year was very humid with upper 90's and mid 70's
Last year I had to leave Saturday morning to drive my wife to my mom's (Alabama) and then came back solo. She had passed out due to the heat Friday afternoon, she recovered, but was just drained.
i live 1 county over from the farm, and it has been around 90 all week. it's supposed to cool back down in the low 70s tomorrow and through the weekend, so maybe it won't be too bad in a month. Where are the weather "geeks"!?

I've had 3 separate dreams about Roo in the last month... In each one, there were enormous puddles and sloppy mud. In two of them, my car got stuck Hopefully I'm not psychic.. haha

Oh my god please be scattered storms/sunny/cool.
It was in the upper 80's here today and I was dying. Probably cause it's been like 50-60 the last week, but all I could think about is what if it's mid 90's at Roo.
We had one day of high 80's and crazy humidity, and I thought I was suffocating. It was in the 50's today. I wish it would warm up so I can adjust to the heat again!
^^Yeah but 2 weeks ago we were breaking record highs so the weather can, and does, change in a minute. Still it's looking like maybe we have a chance at a cooler than normal Roo. (knock on wood.)

What's the coolest it has been at night this time of year at the previous Roo's you guys have been too?
In my pre-thinking planning I thought maybe we just need some sheets for our air mattress and a blanket but now I am wondering if we should bring sleeping bags too if there is the possiblity of it being that cool at night?

Anyone notice that the Accuweather forecast for the first week of June has changed from a week of rain to a week of sun in the past day? This slightly concerns me.

I would throw one in to be safe at least.. as many others have said, last year was exceptionally warm, but it can/will get cold at night.....

I bring a sleeping bag every year. It's nice to have when I crash at night, but as the sun rises, I usually shed it.
Born and raised Tennessean and I get chilly sometimes at Roo. I guess it just depends on what you're used to. Also, if you get sunburned, you will get chilly easier at night.
I agree bunny, 2007 (while my first) was still I think the harshest weatherwise of my four 'Roos. Hopefully the weather will be more like '08/09 this summer!

I was hoping this thread would pop up soon. :-P
Still a bit too early to make a 'good' prediction, but for anyone who's been to a few roos, you know that the weather can vary from super muddy to super dry, or from hot to SUPER hot.
The farmer's almanac is just about worthless. If you want a [somewhat] better prediction this far out, go here: www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/ and look at the temp/precip predictions.
I'll pop back in and offer my opinion as the date gets near and forecast models can be of use. The last 2 years the models were pretty decent from about a week out.

if you compare the recent pattern of moisture (picture ^) with the typical La Nina pattern here: tinyurl.com/45ykx8w .... you will see i'm not just full of leno.
more soil moisture can mean more humidity/precip, but it can also lead to lower temps as the energy from the sun goes to evaporating water instead of heating the ground, as well as more cloud cover. Since TN is pretty moist right now, I'd be willing to speculate that we're more likely to see a RELATIVELY cooler/moisture roo.
