This is a spreadsheet that I made that shows a few different forecasts across the web with the averages at the bottom. I plan on updating it daily until Roo!
Well I'd argue with "nothing out of the ordinary" since we've been flirting with breaking records for heat everyday. But not unheard of might be a better description.
It worse because it's been cool lately (high around last 70 on Friday)
true, but it's june and it's always hot...i don't really know the difference between 93 and 95...i live about an hour south of the 'boro in estill springs (franklin county)...you're right about it being cool though, that does make it seem hotter...kinda glad i don't have an RV b/c the AC in it makes it seem VERY brutal when you step out of it on the farm!

i think he should add one of the local nashville stations to this spreadsheet as well. i think they will be the best predictior, and the local forecasts are already going thru wednesday. my favorite is WSMV, but there is also WKRN & WTVF.
New Englander here...I'm ok, the tornado went through the middle of my neighborhood but missed my house, there's major distruction everywhere. Our downtown (Springfield) is quacked. Never been through anything like that in my life, I give major kudos to those living in areas that have Tornado's regularly, because I was cowering in my basement crying like a baby.
Wow...I saw some coverage on the news and it looks insane. So glad you are ok!
I need some explanation of the weather in the area.... Accuweather is saying thunderstorms Thursday through Saturday. Would this mean constant rain or is this more likley pop-up storms for a short period of time?
it is not going to be thunderstorming...if it is, generally they don't last too long, but could linger all day or just keep popping up...we haven't had any rain for at least a week, and they aren't forecasting any for next week...tonight's news will have the first thursday forecast, so i'll update tomorrow
I guess this is related to weather so I'm going to post it here.
Bonnaroo Vets: Let's say the current projected weather stays true and we get some occasional but short pop up storms. Is this enough to cause lots of mud on the farm?
I don't have any rain boots and was debating getting a pair if large amounts of mud was a real possibility.
I'm gonna repost bizco's spreadsheet at the top of the page as it's the sh!t.

I'll probably add a local station or two tomorrow when I can start getting Thursday in the mix. I've updated it for today and things are looking hotter for sure. The rain seems to be creepin' in too, but nothing really. Sounds like scattered showers that won't last too long if they even hit the farm.
Scratch that. I obviously don't have an Accuweather "premium AccuPop" account.
Here is what I did for Accuweather...online you will see that it has a daytime and a nightime probability for rain...I combined the percentages and made the average for the day and night. They don't just have an average for the day.
In the summer TN has brief, intense thunderstorms/downpours in the afternoons all the time. It's seriously enough just to make it humid but not muddy. If you ever feel a cool breeze stirring it may be nice but it means one of those nasty little buggers is coming.

i have been checking weather forecasts twice a day for a week and now all of a sudden today the rain probabilities have gone up considerably for every day... but like everyone else is saying on here, TN in june acts like orlando FL... you can set your watch by the 4pm, 10 minute monsoon. i love light showers at Roo, keeps the dust down and drops the temp to bearable. I have never seen the big problem with mud except for the centeroo entrances and between what and which stage, other than that it isnt difficult to avoid. Hopefully we will get those 3-4 pm showers that will cool off the grounds, and then have enough daylight to evaporate excess moisture. IMO, it is shaping up to be perfect weather for Roo.

Pop up storms can drop a lot of rain in a short period. This year reminds me of '04. It was very hot and humid and Sat afternoon we had a BIG pop-up which blew things down, shut down shows for a few hours and made for the muddiest Roo in history.
Thunderstorms are totally unpredictable so I'd bring mud boots if you have them just in case.
I am very stoked for my first Bonnaroo, and I have also been very curious to what the weather will look like. I am surprised no one has mentioned weather.com
But from what I have found from their 10 day predictions of Manchester TN (I don't have exact zip code) is that their are 30% chance of rain with Isolated T-Storms from Wednesday to Saturday (Saturday is the last day of the 10 day forecast).
I really hope their isn't a big storm since the rain is clumped together in 4 days.. I live in Florida, and I know here that rain during summer time usually means later afternoon showers and then clears up for rest of day and night. Really hope this is the case for TN because it feels nice to have the rain cool things down.
