wow... somebody actually recorded a popsicle melting in a skillet?
youtube is so.... amazing.
Anyhow... I went to the doctor yesterday and I have a severe ear infection and bronchitis. Also, they wanted to put me in the hospital bc my blood pressure was high and stayed high two hours after giving me meds for it but I came home instead. The point of all that is that I might not be as active as I like over the next few days, but I'm still here which is more than I can say for my presence at work.
btw kdogg, your last post sounds like something mafia would say if they know they are not gonna die during the course of the night... just sayin'.
Hope Jhammet and Bek recover quickly. And NBF I have noticed that Jack has been pretty quiet the whole game. Hadn't noticed EAP was laying low too but thanks for noting it!
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
The Mafia know I have cordially invited them to whack me tonight. I just want to make sure they know that invitation still stands. I'll gladly stick my neck out for this particular cause.
In the meantime, as long as we're talking about evildoers lurking in the shadows and voting them off... it's time for me to get ready and head in to the recall office
Where? I have spent the past 15 minutes scouring this entire page and the two pages before it looking for a reason as to why you think I'm sketchy.
Funny... NoAge asked me the exact same question you later accused me of not answering. See his post Reply #214, then see my post #217. I answered it when asked, so drop it or ask a clarification if you like. I'm not going to get any more specific with you than exact post numbers - please refer to them.
I didn't realize that post was directed at me as well. So it's because I voted for EAP? Your answer in post #217 was a bit unclear. And if so, why are you so sure of EAP's innocence? I need solid evidence, not speculation. You can speculate all you want, but you have to give some logic, reasoning and facts to support these claims if you want people to believe them; so far, I've seen nothing. But your steadfast persistence that I am suspicious, in turn makes you suspicious in my mind.
If anything, I think the fact that I was the first person to vote for EAP - and that she had voted for me first - would make me less of a suspect. Any mafia that's worth its weight in salt would never stack votes in the first round - they don't play that carelessly. It's almost always a divide-and-conquer strategy in the beginning to throw off suspicion - you of all people should know that.
Then it stands to reason that you would know why you are suspect. Mafia like to lay back and let the townspeople make mistakes. Vote stacking doesn't have to be obvious, if the mafia can hide on a vote they are sitting on. Correct?
^^this is exactly what I'm saying. The mafia sit back and let the townspeople make their own mistakes in the early rounds. Then they usually tack on a couple of their votes and parrot whatever the misguided townspeople are saying. But I was the first person to vote for EAP, and I only did it because I thought it was suspicious how she asked me whether I wanted to be voting partners, and then went ahead and voted for me before I had a chance to respond. I wasn't sold on her being mafia, but nobody else was sticking out to me, so I went for the person who had voted for me as sort of a default choice.
I was willing to change my vote so that we didn't just vote EAP off. Yes, I had a freak out and wasn't happy that I sided with Kdogg. Mainly, because I'm not sure of his reasons for casting so much suspicious on Bek and quacker. I switched votes twice in the service of the townspeople. It concerns me that most players weren't willing to do it.
I agree with you on Jham. I've found some of his moves shady.
Jack, why were you OK with sitting on your vote for EAP?
At first I voted for her because she had voted for me first. Something about the way that she asked me whether I wanted to be her voting partner immediately before voting for me struck me as shady - how she asked me something and didn't even wait for a response. So that naturally aroused my suspicion. As the round progressed, I seriously considered changing my vote, but I had no idea who else to vote for. I wasn't sold on EAP's guilt, but nobody else stood out. EAP was the only person who had voted for me, so I thought she was as good a suspect as any. I also thought that changing my vote at that late stage could have been even more suspicious than not changing it, so I decided to stick with my original vote. And then when it came down to the runoff between Sarah and EAP, she still seemed the more suspicious of the two.
Well, with how long the first day/night took I think most of the townspeople will be dying of old age before they get whacked. I hope we've got at least 1 mafia out of the game.

A Mafia making a false Inspector claim in the first day seems just plain foolish to me. You know at that point you are infinitely certain the real Inspector is alive to contradict you. This is the logical fallacy to any claim that EAP wasn't Inspector.
I do believe our particular Mafia lacked the foresight, coordination and/or balls to at least pose a fake Inspector under those circumstances. once EAP outed herself. There would at least have been some confusion as opposed to the way it went down.
I think by the time any of us Townspeople got the Inspector memo, Jack was already out of the running to be in the runoff - and EAP had been forced in. I think NoAge steered the vote against EAP because the Mafia did not like her initial vote for Jack.
more posts makes me less suspicious??? the only reason i'm "being quiet" is because it is the first round!
the one thing that has struck me as strange is the fact that popsicle sarah changed her vote.
you said you wanted a runoff with more people sarah, i gave you that by switching my vote to noage (after he switched to me). yet, you still changed your vote taking him OUT of the runoff.....any particular reason??? seems weird you would want to save him.
well, i had no way of knowing how long it would take you to post, or that you were posting at the same time as me or using a random generator for nine minutes (which you did not end up using it seems??).
i figured once you saw i had changed my vote, you wouldn't change yours'. i don't think that would be shady. it would in fact be doing exactly what you said....putting more people in the runoff.... me, noage, quacker and bek.
instead you change it to me, nbf, quacker and bek. that's all i'm saying.
how did i get to be the guilty party here! nothing i did was life changing??? yet several other people have saved others from runoffs, and i'm the guilty one???
LLL, what agenda do i have???? if i had an agenda why would i dillydally on my vote and ask others??? seems pretty stupid, if i had something up my sleeve that needed to be put into motion.
and you guys are dumbos if you think first time players can't be mafia.
all i can say is you guys would be making a HUGE mistake if you kill me off now.
read into that what you will.
i'm nulling my vote until someone gets some sense.
i'm nulling my vote until someone gets some sense.
THANK YOU KDOGG. i promise you guys i am not leading you astray.
i would actually like to propose that bek change her vote to sarah. i think that quacker is just being kind of out there (sorry dude ) and is just saying what he thinks first. i don't think he's really done anything too suspicious (yet???).
based on kdogg's explanation, one of the people who voted for me is DEFINITELY mafia.
bacon i think it obvious who i will vote for, but can we please wait for bek and quacker jhammet to check back in????
EDIT: sorry, meant to put jhammet instead of quacker, to respond to kdogg's request.
first of all. could we please have an updated CORRECT tally??? the one from page 6 is not right.
second of all....SFA, you wanted to even things up between sarah and i, and now you are fine with killing me? (which your vote will do). i do not understand how you guys don't see that if i have 5 votes that there is MOST DEFINITELY at least one mafia member voting for me! it is stacking plain and simple!
LLL, i am sorry if you felt dumbo was directed completely at you and "too harsh". i guess i felt like i kept reading over and over and over again "sarah can't be mafia it is her first time playing". THIS IS NOT TRUE. you can be mafia on your first time playing.
EAP's voting record EAP >>> Jack >>> NoAge >>> null >>> Sarah
# of posts in which EAP mentioned specific players Popsicle Sarah: 7* quacker: 4 Bek: 3 NoAge: 3 EAP: 2 jhammett: 2 LLL: 2 Jack: 1 kdogg: 1 NBF: 1 SFA: 1
* including one direct response to Sarah which did not mention her by name
I think Jack deserves the strictest scrutiny we Townspeople can muster, seeing as EAP was proactive in casting her very first vote for him.
I think quacker, Bek & NoAge look particularly suspicious when I go over EAP's posts like this. I would be more surprised if there were zero Mafia between those three than if there were two Mafia between those three.
I think EAP knew Jack was Mafia. I think NoAge knew this and went after her. I believe going after these two is the course of action the Townspeople should follow, beginning with Jack.
On another note... I probably won't be around tomorrow. I will be in the office all afternoon and then I have a date after that. I might not return until Thursday. At least take comfort in knowing you're taking a backseat to worthy priorities
Now let's all make like the little fishies on the left and vote for Jack.
EAP's voting record EAP >>> Jack >>> NoAge >>> null >>> Sarah
If EAP was Inspector (I hope not, because I'm going to feel pretty sh*tty having voted for her over a player that I am sure was a townsperson as well, but not as beneficial to have around as the Inspector ), yet I digress.
Anyways, if EAP was Inspector, I would imagine that one of her votes had to be the Mafia name she had in her possession. In a first round where so many players were changing their votes over and over again with little real rhyme or reason, it would have been easy, likely, untraceable and non-suspcious for her to vote for the name she had in hand. I could see that in a voting round that did not include such flip-flopping, the Inspector would have to lay low, stick with their voting partner initially so as not to raise any Mafia eye-brows.
The No Age and Jack vote and the mention of possibly voting for Quacker make me go "Hmmmmmmm". I think the Sarah vote was more of a "save yourself" vote, but that would be a name to consider as well. Not that it would matter much now that she is gone.

That post was my official "Stanky McNasty" post. I wish I would have said something more profound. Something like "love your brothers and sisters, love your Mother Earth, peace and justice to all". Oh well.

and, to a lesser extent, a couple of other things, I was pretty sure that, if she was in fact the inspector, she had gotten Sarah's name at the beginning.
In fact, I wasn't particularly suspicious of Jack at all before this post:
But I was the first person to vote for EAP, and I only did it because I thought it was suspicious how she asked me whether I wanted to be voting partners, and then went ahead and voted for me before I had a chance to respond. I wasn't sold on her being mafia, but nobody else was sticking out to me, so I went for the person who had voted for me as sort of a default choice.

Jack, twice in this post you say it was suspicious that EAP asked if you wanted to be voting partners and then voted for you before you had a chance to respond. But she didn't have a whole lot of options at that point. By the time she voted, noage had voted for Sarah, SFA had voted for LLL, jhammett and I had voted for each other, and kdogg had voted for superbek. That meant that EAP could either vote for you or quacker, or she could stack a vote on a player who already had a vote, or at least had one coming. I assumed at the time that she voted for you over quacker because she was more familiar with you, as you've been around here longer and played more games than quacker.
If EAP was not the inspector, someone alive knows it, unless Sarah was the inspector, and I didn't get that impression from her that she was.
