I asked john flansburg (through the TMBG fan club tumblr) if they were playing any fests this summer and he said they weren't, but october is pushing the limits of "summer" so who knows
edit/ they're also playing asheville at the end of september, so I'd pretty much rule them out for sure
Last year the music was great and I love Asheville, but this is an indoor-venue city festival, so the whole feel is a lot different than the outdoor camping fests. Still, I had an awesome time and the Massive Attack performance was stunning. The people were laid back, the town is one of my favorites, the food around the venues is great, and the music was fantastic. After last year, I highly doubt anything will cause us to miss this festival ... ever.

Set to run October 13th-16th, this year’s festivities leads with Weezer, Jane’s Addiction, and Big Boi. Other highlights include Cut Copy, The New Pornographers, Ghostland Observatory, Matt & Kim, Stars, Ra Ra Riot, Mute Math, Cold War Kids, Ladytron, and Manchester Orchestra.
The initial bill also includes The Airborne Toxic Event, Wanda Jackson, Betty LaVette, K. Flay, Toubab Krewe, Bear Hands, Royal Bangs, PS I Love You, Asobi Seksu, AWOLNATION, The Constellations, The Limousines, The Hood Internet, Grouplove, Free The Robots, Gary Fields, GIVERS, Bad Books, Motonpony, wallpaper., and JJ Grey & Mofro, among many others.
Given the fact that this is in Florida 2 weeks before Moog, can see several names from here on the line up.

This is fun because I really have no idea who will be on the lineup. Of course, I wouldn't be shocked if Portishead were on the bill, but I wouldn't be surprised exactly if they weren't, either.

Trentemoller is still my guess for a solid rumor and I put it just about even with Massive Attack, but I give Trentemoller the edge since it was more danceable.
Compare.
Massive Attack had better lights and sucked you in.
I wonder how many acts will be announced tomorrow. Wasn't the initial announcement last year only a few bands?
It was just the headliners last year. It seemed really thrown together at the last minute. Like they had an opportunity to book a show off the Massive Attack/TC tour and threw a festival out of it.
I'm hoping we get the headliners and maybe 20 names. There were 61 on the line up last year (although 60 played). I think 20 to 25 would be a great way to start.

Flaming Lips, Crystal Castles, Chromeo, Umphrey's McGee, Holy Fuck, Twin Shadow, The Naked & The Famous are my favorite so far. Nothing WOW but pretty solid.

I wish the headliner wasn't The Flaming Lips. The Lips are one of my favorite bands, but I've already seen them do Soft Bulletin in ATL a couple weeks ago and am seeing them again at Hopscotch. Three times in one year might just be Flaming Lips overload. I really wish Cut Copy was on the bill. Why does AC refuse to book Cut Copy, haha? And no Flying Lotus is As others have said, though, there is gonna be plenty more that they'll add.
Other than those complaints, though, there is some exciting stuff: excited for Passion Pit, Tangerine Dream (!), Suicide doing Suicide (!), Crystal Castles, Chromeo, Battles, M83 (!), Holy Fuck, Twin Shadow, Toro y Moi, Tim Hecker, Oneohtrix Point Never/Ford & Lopatin (although I'm seeing both at Hopscotch as well), Matthew Dear, and Little Dragon. All music I'm into. All in all, a good job repeating the excitement of rare performances/obscure grabs/fun dance music/ambient gems of last year's lineup and I'm excited to see who else they add. Just wish it was Cut Copy, or obviously Portishead, instead of the Lips.
