Flaming Lips, Crystal Castles, Chromeo, Umphrey's McGee, Holy quack, Twin Shadow, The Naked & The Famous are my favorite so far. Nothing WOW but pretty solid.
The WOW factor is pretty clearly delivered by Suicide and Tangerine Dream. I haven't seen either of those bands on any other festival bill this year. Not saying they aren't on one, just saying I haven't seen it.

The wow factor is in Hans-Joachim Roedelins.
Where the hell is Bishop when I need him.

I'm there. Suicide and Tangerine Dream seal the deal. Battles, 0PN, Ford + Lopatin, Holy Fuck, and M83 just sweeten it. It will also be my third Lips performance this year, but I actually think they'll be great in that setting.
Additions were really good last year, for what it's worth.
Saw Tangerine Dream at the Kennedy Center in D.C. a couple decades ago. One of the best shows I ever saw. I'm sure the acoustics had a little to do with it.
BTW, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the #1 headliner ends up being someone other than the Lips. The additions last year were MAJOR. If I recall correctly, MGMT wasn't even on the initial lineup reveal, which I think was only like three artists--Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, and Jonsi. I could be remembering that incorrectly, though. Either way, the additions could very well include some huge names. We shall see.
I wonder how many acts will be announced tomorrow. Wasn't the initial announcement last year only a few bands?
It was just the headliners last year. It seemed really thrown together at the last minute. Like they had an opportunity to book a show off the Massive Attack/TC tour and threw a festival out of it.
I'm hoping we get the headliners and maybe 20 names. There were 61 on the line up last year (although 60 played). I think 20 to 25 would be a great way to start.
FWIW, I remember reading in an interview with Ashley Capps that the idea for Moogfest last year was actually, like, four or five years in the making. They were just waiting for the right time. Booking Massive Attack on Halloween weekend couldn't have been a more perfect time, I'm sure.

I think MGMT was one of the first 3. Jonsi was in the next batch with Big Boi and Caribou. Then they added Cee Lo (who cancelled) and the rest.
And I think I did read something to that effect, your totally right.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
I wonder if they'll do day passes again this year? Electronica isn't really my thing, but there are a few acts I want to see...and I live close enough that there is no reason I shouldn't head over there for a day.
God, imagine this lineup if you take out the Lips and add Portishead, or some other iconic electronic-ish band that I'm not thinking of (Basement Jaxx?). It'd be so much better. Still the bottom 2/3 of the lineup, though, are pretty amazing.
