^^ Not strange at all. Its nice when you don't have to worry about those conflicts.
I'm most excited about the last name Shahzad Ismaily. He's a multi instrumentalist from New York thats played with everyone from Tom Waits and Lou Reed to Nels Cline and Bonnie "Prince" Billy.
But I'll get to see him at ATP with Marc Ribot. You should check it out if you don't know who he is.
Well then disregard my last post. If he's good enough for Waits and Ribot, he's fine by me.
DAMN! I have been on the fence about this fest and now I see the weekend passes are sold out and only day passes available. Sh!t! Now, I might just make the drive for some tasty grits and biscuits and Jam from Tupelo Honey.
Thanks GL, Well that was weird, I went to the Moogfest page early tonight and it said weekend passes were sold out and only day passes available at $75 each. Now, going back to that page and I see only the first tier is sold out. Fuckin' Yay!!! If we are still the here payday, then add one more to brunch!

Wait...stop the presses. SCROG'S COMING TO MOOG?!? ;D Sweet! This festival just keeps getting better & better!!!
^This is a maybe. I remember reading that tix would most likely sell and then I got disappointed when, I thought I saw, the tickets were sold out last night. Now, I see only the first level has sold out and we got two levels to go. I can get the time off from work and it is far enough away to be able to make money for the travels, and I do love some Tupelo Honey. So, right now we are still at DEFCON: Maybe.
Scrog, if you wanna fly into TN (instead of driving all that way), you can hitch a ride w/me & SFA & Jack. I'm probably gonna rent a big ol' cushy SUV so we can have lots o' leg room. You are more than welcome to come along. Heck, I just scouted a R/T ticket from TPA to Chattanooga for $186. That's about a hundred bucks cheaper than leaving from GNV. So there ya go. Get your tickets, Mr. Defcon:MAYBE.

Damn, Scrog! I promised to give you the recipes for their biscuits, jams & grits when we were @ Quack Club...sorry! I'll send tonite; gimme a few minutes to type 'em up.
PS - if anybody else wants recipes but doesn't have the THC cookbook, PM me & I'll share with you, too. You can never have too many foodie friends or good recipes. ;D
Also (because I'm trying real hard not to edit posts):
It appears that the Fre3fall Collective is our Creative Coordinators of Atmospheric and Visual Design. I had some friends that went to Bass Center 2 in Asheville and raved about it.

I'd hate to miss Moby, but for Tangerine Dream I'd have to. I'm kind of hoping for a TVotR conflict just because I've seen them before. Although they really kill it live.
In the interview she mentions that she's friends with Shahzad Ismaily. I really hope that means there's a collaboration coming!
Also in the Neon Indian interview, Alan mentions that he's good friends with Chaz, as well as the Flaming Lips (obviously, given the EP). Sounds like some good collab material in there, too.
I just got an email from Bonnaroo and included in it was this:
Also, Moogfest 2011 is expanding in a big way. In addition to concerts at the Asheville Civic Center Arena, the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, and the Orange Peel, new venues for the weekend will include the newly renovated Asheville Music Hall (formerly Stella Blue), the beautiful and intimate Diana Wortham Theatre and...we're going outdoors this year! That's right...stay tuned for more information to come via moogfest.com.
So we now have a smaller venue.

And an email from Moogfest. No additions but the Synth group art show with Wayne as a special guest artist. He will be doing limited prints for the festival.
I'm buying Bishop two of em. Back Off.
