Also, I'll move around the artists on the first time when I have a free moment (if I get one, to be honest). I did figure out one of my costumes, though. I'll be Dr. Blake Downs from Children's Hospital (on adult swim for those who haven't seen it). Still looking for ideas for the other days, though.
I was searching "Moogfest outdoor stage" on Google and I found a link for a partnership proposal between Moogfest and the Geek Squad (official technology partner of Moogfest). The link would not open but I was able to view it as an html.
This is what I found...
"Outdoor Stage Activation: 20x20 exhibitor area feat. headlining performances from Moogfest musical artists such as the Flaming Lips, Moby, and many more."
HEADS UP: Moogfest weekend passes at Tier 2 price level won't last much longer. Don't risk disappointment, snag yours now! When they're gone, remaining weekend passes will be $199.50 (plus service fees). As for now, day passes still remain for each day at the special $75 (plus service charge) price.
People started whining about price (as people do) and not getting in to a club at capacity Moogfests response was this: You're in luck, Josh. We're adding a large outdoor venue in the heart of downtown Asheville this year. We're announcing the information tomorrow. We're confident that everyone will be able to see the artists that they are most passionate about seeing with no problem.
From Moogfest: "Whispers abound of another cool announcement coming your way ...a true musical icon of the past century presenting one of his legendary (but very rate these days) concerts of his electronic music...hint: though not a "rock" musician, this person had an absolutely massive influence on the music of Pink Floyd and the Who and, yes, on Brian Eno too. Stay tuned!"
Love it. I wasn't able to go to the Big Ears he played. So this will more than make up for it. I'm assuming this is a Terry and Gyan show as they just put out a record not too long ago.
Moogfest Moves Outdoors: The Launch Pad At The Renaissance
With a growing fest comes a need for more venue space and so, Moogfest is moving outdoors! This year, we are officially introducing The Launch Pad at the Renaissance, located in the heart of downtown Asheville. Offering a large open air space in the lush atmosphere of Asheville in autumn, The Launch Pad at the Renaissance will host epic performances beginning in the late afternoon of each day and continuing into the evening.
Terry Riley was also correct.
