Ive tried listening to tune-yards a few times and couldn't get into it. Figured I would put the stream on and see if I was just missing something. My 8 year old daughter, who pretty much goes with the flow for most music and picks out different things that she really likes said "This is awful. I fart with more harmony"
I just don't "get" it I guess. Tune-Yards just do not sound good to me, personally, at all. Ah well, plenty of other music to dig on for me

Snagged my rail spot yesterday at 11:30 am, and battled it out all the way to Radiohead. I forgot that I had this kind of energy and passion! Atghgh! I was just in the front row for Radiohead at COACHELLA.
Still processing the fact I'm here I can't even believe it! This is the craziest and mist impulsive thing I've ever done!!
AND YOU GUYS ROCK FOR CONVINCING ME IT WAS A GOOD IDEA!!!!
Tune-yards are very unconventional, it's not normal song structure. If you were watching the show not knowing what to expect I can understand why you were put off. I love her voice and the way she puts the music together (mostly looping by herself.) I think they were incredible!!!
Also, this fest (especially the campgrounds) makes me feel about 85 years old. Haha.
The over 25 crowd is severely underrepresented. As are tutus!
I definitely feel this way too.
A couple of more memorable sets for me yesterday were Black Lips and Flying Lotus. Radiohead's show was amazing, but I think their Bonnaroo set will top it.

Yesterday's highlights include: radiohead, flying lotus, the shins, destroyer
So sad I missed sbtrkt to get a good spot for radiohead, it was a tough decision. And waiting through half of bon iver almost put me to sleep. I think radiohead at roo will be even better. Can't wait :-)
To be on the rail for Radiohead? Absolutely AMAZEBALLS, absoquackinlutely. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Duuuuuuuuuuude. Why you gotta hate on Mayo's word?
GardenFresh: I'm happy for you, my lucky, impulsive friend. You just took off, at the last minute, and made it happen. YES! That's what it's all about! Plus, you were there w/several other awesome Inforoosters, which is so quackin' cool. Way to grab life by the cojones, mi amigo.
