It makes sense that Thursday is pretty light on scheduling. It's a fairly young crowd and a lot of them are college kids like me. Having SoS this close to FSU, UNF, and UF is a godsend.
Laggy, that is what I am saying. My mind is just now getting back to normal and next week at this time I will be heading out to SotS. For some reason I was thinking there was Music on Wednesday night, but realized I was wrong the other day. So, I feel good about choice picking on a camping spot.
KP, you gonna put that hammock up in trees in the Amphitheater? If so that is a cool gift, if not and we are camped together, you might find me passed out in it.
I am thinking about gifting some things. I always make Jello shots and we will have those, but I was thinking about expanding to coffee and ice cream. I have a ton of coffee left over and a small coffee maker. I was thinking one morning start brewing some pots of coffee(already got the coffee, sugar, creamer, filters and even have extra mugs) and who ever is near by, in camp or not, gets free coffee if the want it, but this means I have to wake up early. I am also planning on getting some ice cream, some dry ice to keep it frozen and some cones and doing the same thing with ice cream one after noon.
I thought there might be more activity on here with the fest a week away. ???
Haha I'll do my best, Scrog. Whereabouts in the campsites where you all be? I'm planning on being near the pond behind the main stage.
Pond behind the Main stage? Never been there. I know where Ree's lake is, but that is not behind the main stage or what I call the main stage. I am looking to be camped over by the Amphitheater. I will PM you my number.
Dude, that pond looks green and full of algae. Looks like if you fell in you become Swamp Thing. Yikes! Will be on the other side, next to the Amphitheater-ish.

Hahaha it didn't look too bad in April during Wanee. Friend went to Purple Hatter in May and said it was fantastic. However, if I become the Swamp Thing, then that's just a better excuse than any to be green!

More details to come, but my top highlight of the weekend: My friend and I were rocking out with this topless hippy chick during flaming lips. She was so ecstatic and in a state of complete bliss. Wayne starts playing 'yoshimi' and he looks over at her and smiles really big. He tries continue to keep playing but he's still looking at her and just starts laughing out loud and stops the song. He looks over at her and says with a huge smile on his face "You are just having so much fun, you need to come up here" (or something along those lines) So she gets up on stage and bows to him and he gives her a hug, then she walked back and bowed to the audience She came back down and was crying tears of joy for most of the rest of the show. Wayne is just the coolest, friendliest dude on the entire planet and that was just really cool of him The whole weekend was just totally epic, the venue was beautiful, the all around vibe was amazing, and the people were so friendly.
And it was nice to meet scrog and kenny powers. hope to see ya'll again at bonnaroo or wherever else.
Laggy, that is a funny story, because I was further back from you and to the left, and when the show started I was dancing behind this person. I was watching her ass jiggle when I notice there was no strap on her back. I though, 'Oh shit, I have been watching a guy dance!' Then he turns around and he is she and she has no top on. I felt better. Then 30 minutes later Wayne stop the show and brings the topless chick on stage, which was the same person I was dancing behind! He made her year. That was awesome, she will never forget that! Hell I do not think I will ever forget that. That goes along with everything this weekend. Perception is everything, because the universe starts immediately to your left and an apple can be a banana! Exactly! Ghostland Observatory was amazing! The laser show they put on is epic! Flaming Lips, word can not describe. They blew me away! Buckethead, What the fuck! That guy made sounds on a guitar that I have never heard. He is good! Fuck I'll give him an amazing as well! STS9 closed the show and what a closing it was. Those guys can jam! Many favorite highlights. Like walking to the camp ground stage at 3am and not seeing anybody on stage, but hearing music. Then looking up into the tree to see a guy playing some string instrument(a double bass, KP what was it?) with a bow, in the fucking tree! Sitting down melting to Ghostland and thinking, "I wish I had something cold and wet to refresh my mouth". Then 5 minutes later a girl who looked like Wendy("where's the beef" Wendy's) hands me a ICE cold beer. That is what it said on the side of the can, "ICE" and it was cold and tasty. Or coming back to camp and wanting to inhale some corn, but not having a piece of glass and 5 minutes having a random person sit down next to us and ask, "Want some corn?" It was a magically weekend like that. If you looked for it, you never found it. If you thought about it, it just appeared. KP and friends and Laggy and friend what an awesome weekend! Glad I could be a part of it! Thank you guys!!!

I thought this fest was toast But according to their facebook "Blackwater Music and Arts Festival is now a spring festival. The new dates & lineup will be posted this summer for Blackwater 2013."

That's strange... I hope they keep doing Springfest! That's in late March normally. It will be interesting seeing how they are gonna fit this in also w/ Springfest in March and Wanee in April.
