At Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park in Live Oak, FL Tickets currently $110, up to $180 at the gate.
Not too bad of an initial lineup. I've been dying to check out a show at Suwanee, I hear it's one of the best festival venues. But they'll have to do a little bit better than this to justify $110+, 2 days off work and an 8 hour drive for me
I was thinking I would have to miss this due to it falling on the same weekend as Burning Man, cause it did last year, but I see it is a few weeks later this year! Fuck yeah! Just an hour away, I will be there! I love the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and I think any festival goer would like it as well. It is not as hot as most parts of Florida, this had to do with the proximity to the Suwannee river and it is in the woods and this is in September, bring some fire wood.
Need to do a little better? Flaming Lips at SoS is reason enough to go all by themselves. If you had been to SoS before you would understand
Lineup looks way better than last years wompfest
Yeah well it's tempting. Taking off work is the tricky part, I only get 5 vacation days a year,which I've already used, and taking any time off above is frowned upon. And I'd need to take off 2 days for this.
Also, while I would love to go to see F'lips, Ghostland, and P-groove, I saw F'lips like 7 months ago, ghostland a month ago, and will see p-groove next month. I imagine the lips and ghostland will make for some epic night-time shows in that atmosphere though
I went to this last year. It was a pretty cool little festival. If you've never been to Spirit of Suwannee you must check it out. No worries, there will be plenty more additions to the line up. I thought I saw somewhere that the line up is supposed to come out June 1st.
I love SoS it has to be my favorite festival grounds. I usually go every year for Bear Creak and Wanee but this would be amazing. But the flaming fitz lips at Swanee thats pretty awesome. As well as to add the awesome laser show of Ghostland. Plus both P Groove and Zach Deputy have a special thing with Suwanee so they always throw down.. I highly recommend this festival to anyone and everyone

By the way, Scrog, I'm totally down for Blackwateraroo IF I go... Definitely leaning towards yes.. just waiting for the Orlando calling lineup before making my decision.
Operation: BalckwateROO is now in full effect, well maybe not full effect, but I see it is happening ;D. I love the Spirt of Suwannee Music Park and I am excited to see some Inforooers going to this festival.
The wife and I are thinking about our first Blackwater...what's the crowd like, compared to Bonnaroo? And for that matter, what's the crowd like at Bear Creek?
The crowd at Blackwater was much younger overall than Bear Creek. Mostly college kids. It's a month later this year. I don't know if it will affect the crowd, though. Bear Creek was a much more mixed crowd. Everybody I met at both fests were cool. And the setting in unbelievable.

So Blackwater just posted as their facebook status "Buckethead anyone?" I'm not sure if thats a confirmation but damn..I didn't think this lineup would get anymore stacked than it is, being such a small festival and all
Wife can't get time off until October; maybe next year.
