What was the Petros thing exactly, and was it any good? I almost tried that but used one of the porta-johns over there first and got too grossed-out to eat for a while. I remember wanting to try it, but not so much what it consisted of. Too much corn that day maybe.

Chicken and cheese samosas, of course. It was sad to see them sold out on Sunday.
Pizza was pretty good too, as was the vegetable and chickpea gyro from one of the trucks. And of course, let's not forget Bonnaroo Buzz (though Cherry Garcia was a decent replacement on Sunday night w/a little WSP on the side ;D). As a matter of fact, the only time I had something disappointing was with the smoothies (from the stands or that Strawberry Fields place... it was too icy and not sweet enough IMO).
My boy Marcellus on Bushy Branch cooked the best breakfast burrito at 'Roo. Cool ass black dude we shootin the shit at his oven. Gets cheese, pork, sausage, eggplant, onions. Incredible eats coming back from Centeroo at 7 in the morning.
Fired Up Wood Fired Pizza in centeroo was excellent.
The eggs, sweet potatoes, and pancakes from the breakfast vendor by Pod 1 was a godsend one morning. I only wish they started breakfast a little earlier so they could feed me before my 7am shift.
I found spicy pie less good than in previous years, toppings leaner and sauce more mediocre. They are going downhill imo.

I second all the mentions of gastropod. The slaw on the pork sandwich was soooo good. It made me regret not planning a trip to our beach house this summer...I need Miami Cuban food in my life more often.
Food Truck Oasis was truly heaven sent. Ate from the taco bus, petrol and the one with the italian steak sandwiches. I also loved the organic salad freshly tossed in back of the What stage. Very refreshing I had the veggie lover salad.
Oh and late night the mini cider donuts was the business!

Not even a close race here, Praters BBQ at the back of What stage is where it is at! The Wings and the Riblets are both amazing and a hell of a value as well. Their pulled pork sand isn't half bad either. This is one of the things I look forward to every year at Bonnaroo
Someone handed me one of the Crab Rangoon from the "Asian Sensation" place at Pd 3 one LATE night. It was the absolutely perfect walk-home snack. Thank you whoever you are.
Also odd, but on Saturday afternoon, I had to break off from my brother at one of the tents, because I suddenly wasn't feeling so hot. I grabbed some water for my camelback and headed to the cafe tent at the back of the what stage and laid down in the shade to cool off. I felt a little better, but something was still off.
For whatever reason I grabbed a caesar salad at the vendor in the back near the cafe tent, and holy crap did that hit the spot. I never thought I would bother with a salad at Roo, but it changed everything and possibly saved my Saturday daytime.

Loved the spicy pie, and on Sunday, during Widespread, my wife and I had an Angus hamburger from a vendor in the back of What. It was amazing. Fries smothered in gravy also rocked.

I am going to attempt to make a pale comparison to a Roo arepa at home... I will make sure I stand in the blazing sun while someone blows dust around for that perfect "crunch"; not sure if I can get Matt and Kim to come play in the back yard while I eat it though.

I thought I was the only one who had an arepa. The guy in front of That Tent had no business all Saturday except for what I believed me. Oh well, they were good. The spicy pie I bought just came out of the oven and burnt my tongue so bad.

That's the only way to enjoy it in all of its Roo greatness!
Am I the only one that doesn't understand all of the love for spicy pie? It was just an overpriced slice of pizza. My favorites were the sliders from Gastropod, the taco truck and samosa man.

My thing with Spicy Pie is it's quick and very filling. Also if I am really hungry, I feel better afterwards eating this than an overpriced crap burger and fries.
Spicy pie and corndogs the size of my forearm for sure!
Man, I can't figure out for the life of me how anyone could eat a giant corndog in the 'Roo heat. Just about the last thing I want to put in my face...
i love spicy pie. i had it last year and didnt know it was spicy pie. we had it late late night and just thought it was the most amazing piece of pizza. granted- youre fucking drunk so that makes everything better.
then this year everyone was raving about spicy pie and i had it and when i saw the names i was like yes! this is my pizza place! again- looved it. its just perfect for what you need at the time
pesto mozadillas or whatever they were were also amaaazing. i picked the tomatoes out first though- and thats all i ate haha. first day pretty much. the rest of the time i seriously forgot to eat. oops

i also randomly picked some of those up and they were so delish!! i was shocked and pleasantly surprised
the spicy pie i waited for late night friday was everything i wanted and more. i was so hungry and had a lemonade in the left hand and the pizza in the right, so i just kept sliding the pizza forward and eating it off the plate on the way back to camp. fresh out of the oven and my mouth was still healing days later. worth it.
i had the "pork me" meatballs from the eat box food truck - i mostly went there because they had the funniest signs (eat my box & balls deep, how could i resist?!) and i'm glad i did, they were delicious and you got your moneys worth, i couldn't even finish all the balls....(insert joke here)

I thought those smoothies were awful! I liked Prater's BBQ and spicy pie. I don't see how people complain about the price for that pizza, it's a huge slice! I had a really good grilled chicken on flatbread. The food wasn't bad at all though I feel like I really missed out on the food trucks.
