Taco Bus was really good, the burrito was quacking massive. I had a really good sliced pork sandwich from the pot-kettle black food truck, but it was a little small for the $9 price tag. And Spicy Pie is always awesome
My favorite food was definitely the pesto medadillas from feel good foods/bearly edible. I forgot to write down the ingredients but I think that I remember them all. If Im forgetting any can someone please let me know? Artichoke hearts, black olives, sundried tomatoes, feta red pepper spread, and mozzarella cheese.
I'd say my favorite food were the Gyros. They were cheaper, of course, outside of Centeroo.
I also like the taco truck. My burrito was very good and if Guy once at there, you know it's gotta be good.
The Challenge was finding which food stand served the best Gyro because there were tons of places that sold them.
Next year, I want to try the gator I hear people speaking about, and some other foreign cuisine. It just seems like a good time to expand your food pallet.
I had to bump this thread because I was doing some research on the success of the food trucks that were at Bonnaroo. I enjoyed them but I wanted to make sure other people did as well. I was really pregnant so I'm glad it wasn't just me who enjoyed the food at the oasis.
Reason for my research is that my husband and I are in the process of buying a truck in Buffalo. One of the things I mentioned to him was possibly working festivals.
Thanks for the opinions that you guys shared and I would love to hear more.

i ate at those trucks almost every meal. i'd love for there to be more because i think next year the lines will be longer now that people have heard how good they were. didn't have one dissapointing meal from there

Oh man. Tried the samosas for the first time this year. Incredible. Looking forward to more meals. Also the old standbys my old friends Spicy Pie and the arepas.
I had to think of what it was I had down on shakedown. The Jerry Rolls were delicous.
Oh right. How could I forget the grilled cheese washed down with Bayou Billy.
SAMOSAS!! Also, I know this isn't in Centeroo, but over in the volunteer camping area they were selling pancakes, bacon, & home fries that were delicious!! The line was always so long, and when we finally had time to stand in it, they ran out of batter right after us and I felt bad for everyone in line behind us.
Maybe it was because of the fact that we only had beef jerky and junk food at my camp, but everything I had in Centeroo was amazing. I had a burger at the food trucks and it was really good. I also had some sort of BBQ from a stand next to That Tent and it was huge and not that expensive (about $12, I think), we couldn't even finish it. I also had a hotdog from a cart near The Other Tent and some pizza near the Which Stage, all of them really great. I don't really remember much else, but I'm sure there was more stuff.
1. Pesto Mozzadillas near the Arch Entrance line of vendors at the very end in Centeroo. OH.MY.LAWD. Sober, after some booze, after some corn, doesn't matter. These things made/make me so happy when I eat them!!!
2. Close second goes to Samosa Man, any and all of the varieties really. And the hot sauce/salsa that comes with them!!! So so so incredibly amazing.
3. Spicy Pie!!! I know, I know, its pizza. But its GREAT pizza. Last year throughout the fest I'm pretty sure I tried a slice of each variety, and the "Spicy Pie" is my favorite.
4. Arepa's with cheese, these things soak up the beer really well!!!

Morning walk into centeroo = wonder waffle First stop inside centeroo = chicken teriyaki bowl at the back of the what stage field Mid day snacks = arepas and samosas Late night walk home = a stack of grilled cheeses
I'm about to see my karma take a hit, but I find spicy pie to be just mediocre. Yeah, I'm spoiled. I grew up in the city (NYC for those not up with the lingo) and our worst pizza places still outdo the best in other parts of the US. In terms of Roo food, spicy pie is pretty good, but to me, it's an ok take on pizza by some outsiders.
Fish tacos? okay, I here they are better with that white sauce from Shakedown street.
Ast, I agree, Spicy Pie is a good slice of pie, but I can get a good slice of pie anywhere. When I get something to eat, I want it to make me want to come to Roo, if it is just for that food. Like a Jerry Roll! There were Jerry Rolls at Roo? I had one at Bear Creek this past year, amazing! Will need to search for them this June on the farm.

the pizza in manhatten has actually gotten laughably bad. the emergence of the dollar slice places has turned it into a joke. luckily i live in queens, so i've got a few amazing spots in throwing distance

Queens has good pizza. Hillside 170th street had the best buffalo chicken pizza ever.
