Can someone please tell me where I can find the samosas and the bahn mi sandwiches?
There is a food truck that does fried brussel sprouts with tahini. They are the shiz. They're located in Centeroo with the other food trucks.
The samosas come from a vendor called "Samosaman" and they have at least three locations, so they should be pretty easy to find. According to last year's guide there was one by the ferris wheel, one in that bank of vendors on the way into the What Stage, and one by the fountain. Look for a yellow sign.
As for the bahn mi sandwiches, I have never had one at Bonnaroo but since I am looking at last year's guide anyway, it says they come from a vendor called Saigon Express and they were located on the way into What.
I'm ready to get my Petro's fix (now that I don't live in the South anymore). Also had some amazing Thai food and Thai iced tea with my best friend under a tree last year while we watched the sun set. Oh, and 2am garlic grilled cheese cannot be beat.

I can't believe I forgot about this one, but there was a wood oven pizza place between the cinema tent and the Which stage last year. They have AMAZING pizzas. You'll probably want a whole one for yourself though, they're just a LITTLE bigger than personal size.
My favorite Bonnaroo food comes from that veggie Asian stand in the food court between the arch and That. It's whatever the default is. You've seen the sign, something like: "IF YOU ARE TOO FAR GONE TO SAY WHAT YOU WANT, YOU WILL GET #3."
Also: samosas. Beware the chicken and cheese samosas. In 2011 they gave me about twelve hours of what I remember as the Mumbai Cluster Bombs.
and the biscuits and gravy in VIP are also amazing
Oh man, I'd forgotten about those! You're right: the breakfast food vendor inside VIP has nomtastic fare! ('scuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard)
It is. They started charging $3 for two in 2010, to make more money and reduce the amount of people getting like 5 or 6 for $1 a piece. I just usually give a dollar to someone i'm with who doesn't want a grilled cheese, and have them buy another one for me. That or just eat it quickly then go back in line to order another lol.

Every Thursday I walk around and talk to the vendors and say weird things like "I am gonna eat this up." Yet when the following days come I don't buy a single thing. If anyone has a must try for vegetarians let me know and I will make this the year that actually "eat this up."
i'm not sure if this was said yet, but... GARLIC GRILLED CHEESE!
not only for the inexpensive nature of said grilled cheese ($1 each, $3 for two), but for the pure deliciousness of garlic cheesy nostalgia
They changed the recipe this past year, and increased the price. Not as good, but best snack to munch on walking back to camp at 6am
I sold garlicky grilled cheeses in the parking lot during Further Festival circa 1998.. I haven't been able to stomach one since. Good times, good memories.
I think they scaled back their portions a little bit, but i remember my second year of Roo i was going hardcore all day and after the headliner and realized i was ridiculously hungry and got what had to be a 5 pound burrito from Bandito's. I was "out of it" sort of and began to devour it about 4 steps away from the stand, drunkenly swaying a bit, juices dripping all over. I am sure some deadly sins were committed (gluttony and lust come to mind) during this solo feast, and about halfway through i became aware that i was just stupidly eating this burrito in the middle of headliner exit traffic. mostly everyone either gave me a wide berth much like you would treat a feral dog having a meal, some had looks of disgust on their face, and others giggled and mentioned how envious they were - that they had obviously never enjoyed anything as much as i was enjoying that burrito. every year i get at least one burrito from bandito's.

I never noticed this place last year. Where was it locate and what's it called? Has it been in the same place every year? I'm strapped for cash the year, so this could work out. Thanks.
My favorite is the stand at What stage that sells authentic gyros...LOVE them! Had them at least once every year for the last ten years of Roo. Recently, I loved the organic brick oven pizza next to Broo'ers tent. Really missed them last year!
