Third Roo for me, and it was kind of a weird one, in that I've seen better shows at the other ones, but I don't think I've ever had a better time. I loved it.

And don't misinterpret this as me saying the shows sucked. They didn't. I saw some amazing ones. But other than MMJ, I don't know that any cracked my all time top 5.

Dr. Teeth is a d-bag. He's the Art Neville to Rolf's Dr. John. He never lets Floyd have any bass solos and he got Janis hooked on crack. And don't get me started on that contract he got Animal to sign.

We made it home that night, but it was hard. We'll see you at the next good show.

Kind of a tangent here, but related to something Juggs said last page about Bootsy and Dr. John being late. Late sets annoy the hell out of me, too, but I'm not sure Dr. John or Bootsy are to blame for this one. That totally could be the case, but I did hear that Bootsy's crew was told their show was meant to start when it did, but when it came down to the final schedule the time had changed. Heard this from a guy working sound at the tent he played at. Of course could just be their guy covering, but if that's the case, seems like Roo screwed that one up. And as for Dr. John being late, I blame both Roo and/or the sound guys. I know it's really, really complicated to sound check a group as big as what played for Superjam, especially when there's not one set sound guy to cover that group of musicians, as this group only played one gig. So, they should have been given more time to sound check, or they should have sound checked more quickly. All that to say I don't think Dr. John or his ego had much to do with being late at all. He could have told them to stop sound checking, but sounding good matters even more than showing up on time. Might be wrong here, but I think they're both off the hook here.

I heard from the arepa man that Dr Teeth was backstage harrasing Bootsy about the size of his bass & number of bedazzeling sequins and he called Dr John a troll making them both feel insecure and unable to take the stage. Thanks for ruining both sets for me doctor dbag

I've only been to the last two, but I enjoyed the 2010 show more. They both were an amazing time, and I had a blast both years. But I feel they really went lazy this year.

Last year, they had someone die of a heat stroke, 108 core body temp, and then they sell out the place.. and then take out half the water spots and bathrooms?!? The new tickets were annoying, and where the hell was dusk control???? It's almost like they were praying for rain to get them off the hook. Jay Z and the Flaming Lips owned Eminem and Lil Wayne lol.

But the undercard at 2011 was so good. It's impossible to not have a goodtime at this place. I did the Clean Vibes, so I pretty much went for free.

Can't wait for Roo'12. Hoping for a MUSE<Prince, or Radiohead<Daft Punk Saturday nighttttt
