I am and will always be a diehard Roo fan. I have been to 5 straight and I have to say I had an absolute blast. Mostly because of the group I was with.....BUT!!!! I have to agree for this being the 10th year anniversary I was expecting ROo to wow me, and they didnt. I did not even get a sticker! I thought there would be more on the grounds that really set this 10 year anniversary apart. I mean 10 years is 10 years!!! Maybe a Giant cake war, a free beer, a sticker...anything. I thought the blinky skies were amazing, and thought it was part of the celebration, but in reality it was not. The lineup as always is eclectic and you can always find something you will groove to.
Still though 10 years should have had...I dont know... shock an awe?<- well thats a common among the people at roo, but there should have been more Awe. I wanted to leave the farm felling like they really went out of their way to CELEBRATE! Still had fun and not trying to pee on anyone's tent, just stating my view.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
This was my fifth Bonnaroo. It was epic for me. All five have been terrific, and I can't compare them to each other. I'll go every year, as long as I can, and not complain. I'm confused by some aspects of the festival evolving, but every year is my favorite. It's a joy to attend a gathering such as this. Once a year, party with 80,000 of your best friends...imagine!
