The Keg is in Orange Beach and out of gulf shores' city ordinances...not even worried about late night shows though. I'm just gonna chill at our pimp condo afterwards eat some foodz, drank some beers, and chill on the beach...maybe take a dip in the pool.

seriously. if you are paying serious bucks for a condo you might as well enjoy the amenities.
and if you pull 12 hour days at the fest you'll get plenty of live music.

It would be awesome to get some good late additions to hangout. I'm kinda expecting it at this point.
Yeah it's unexpected that they havent announced the late nights yet... They should get a Umphrey's side project to do a late night, that could always be fun. EOTO at the Keg though!
Yeah, I have given up on late night shows unless it's standup comedy (that wouldn't draw noise complaints). I was meaning late lineup additions.
I'd love to see EOTO, but I doubt I will feel like going all the way to Orange Beach to keep the party going with my condo in walking distance. Who knows...I just don't plan on doing much driving that weekend unless it's to the store for more food/beer/liquor/etc. ;D
Oh...and guess what. I check into my condo 1 month from today!!!!!
I'm gonna work a half day on the 17th and then head to gulf shores after lunch. I guess we can check into our condo around 3pm? Will probably miss a bit of the kickoff party.

This is my plan, too. I need to find out what time I can get checked into my condo, though.
Also, make sure you get your pre-party tix, my buddy that works for HUKA said they will definitely sell out, and that many people will end up being shut out. (remember, locals & people without weekend passes can come to)

I've had my kickoff party ticket since they went on sale. I can cut out of work at 11am, head home, eat lunch, and pack all my poop up before you even get off work. We need to figure out who's riding with who and the parking situation though since only two cars can be parked at our condo.
I've got to decide about the pre-party. I am flying into PNS at like 1030 AM but it'll be a few hours before I check into the condo. A friend arrives 1.5 after me and we all want to hit the grocery store and packy and such before we start our weekend. We were also thinking about preparing food for the weekend as well, make a bake.. marinate some meat, etc. Ahhhhhh can't wait!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

the pre-party was awesome last year. i recommend doing that.
I'm either off or taking a half day thursday then riding over for the preparty and riding home that night. Friday morning I'll be doing all the shopping and such and get that all ready for my 3pm check in. Decided to get the condo for Fri-Sun instead to save a lil cash since I live only about 35 min away. I'm hoping there are no bands I want to see scheduled early friday afternoon. Hopefully a schedule drops soon so I can know for sure.
I am cutting out of work a few hours early on Thursday, hoping to get there around 10 PM so I will miss the thursday festivities. Its a 6+ hour drive for me.
We are leaving Louisville on Tuesday the 15th and stopping in Nashville to see Jack White/Alabama Shakes at the Ryman. Leaving for GS the next morning and hoping to get in mid-afternoon. Thursday we're going deep sea fishing and hopefully having a big fish dinner that night. Of course the rest of the weekend we'll be rockin!

Yeah, I'm thinking the Keg friday night for that Tribal Seeds at the hangout sturday Big Freedia at the hangout sunday This is if I even feel like going out after the festival is over with. I still haven't decided if I am just going to take half a day monday or the whole day off. I have a feeling that I am not going to feel like being at work by noon though...especially if I go to Big Freedia late night, which I am almost sure that I will get talked into doing.

A few summers ago I tried just taking a half day on the Monday after Waka and Roo but it was a real beatin to make that happen. It kind of robbed me of a day of festi bliss because all day Sunday I had that feeling of dread in the back of my mind that I had to get up early and rush to be back at work the next day. Even when I did get back it was hard to get my head in the game for 4 hrs after such a raging weekend. You kinda need a day to "get back into the world" hahaha.
I took Thursday-Tuesday off for this. Thinking about maybe changing Thursday to a halfday instead, but no way would I want to return to work any day before Tuesday the following week. I'm looking forward to my 2 recovery days after the fest! I will probably need it.
I'd like to go the Friday night, but I'm good on Saturday night. There was supposed to be some shuttle service to and from the hangout for this (very limited) but I haven't seen anything else about this. That's the only way I'm gonna get there.
