I asked Joel (from Umphrey's) on Twitter what day they would be playing. He responded that he couldn't answer that now, but that we would be able to appreciate the light show more this year (paraphrased).

That doesn't leave a lot of options considering the headliners are the only acts that start their sets after sundown. Maybe that means they're playing the last slot on the 3rd stage, the slot that Motorhead, STS9, and Galactic played last year. I doubt they put them in the tent.

It is highly unlikely, but I know during MMJ closing the 2nd stage, it got pretty dark throughout the show. But, with this lineup I don't see that happening. Now, didn't someone say the Boom Boom Room tent was being expanded to 3 times the size? If so, that could be possible.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

Yeah, the Surf Style and Grooveshark stages overlapped last year. MMJ directly conflicted with STS9. There was still some light when the sub-headliners started playing, but the sun had set by the time they finished.
Im seeing Wilco on Wednesday in St Augustine, so that wilco/umphrey's isn't a big deal for me. I would probably pick Dawes over M Ward but the Dr Dog/Gogol conflict is tough.... Conflicts are always going to happen - I don't mind so much these.

STS9 and Jack White conflict kinda sucks as does Wilco/Umphrey's
I guess i have to go to Jack White since I've never seen him and have seen STS9 at practically every festival i've ever been to. And Umphrey's is a must even though I've never seen Wilco live.
Xbox stage? Chevrolet stage? Ugh...I mean I get it they're the people that make this thing happen but damn. If Roo ever sells out this way (literally), it will be a sad day in my book.

soooo pumped, not nearly as conflicted as i thought id be. agree with the dr. gog vs gogol. would really love to see greyboy allstars a bit later in the day, but oh well. i'll prob only be able to handle skrillex for a song or two, so that works itself out.
btw, when i build my schedule on the website, it still shows avicii when i try to add delta spirit...what a tease.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Dawes and M. Ward are the two I was most excited for. I was hoping they would play together too. This is devastating.
It will also suck to miss Gogol for Dr. Dog.
What really kills me is I will be sitting on my ass bored during Paul Oakenfold vs Chris Cornell directly thereafter. This is maybe my least favorite schedule ever by anyone.
This is my first Hangout. How bad is sound bleed? Specifically concerned about Umphrey's McGee on the "Letting Go" stage overtaking the quieter parts of Wilco's set on the "Chevrolet Stage." Are those stages even anywhere near each other?

haha. i'm hoping that's enough time to cruise back to the condo and chow down. saturday's kaskade/dispatch provides the same window of opportunity (call me crazy)

Randy Newman vs. Heartless Bastards (HATE this one)
GIVERS vs. Futurebirds
Those are the only two that have me pulling out my hair. I would have liked to see Dawes and Gogol, but Dr. Dog and M. Ward are easy calls for me. It's strange that Jack White is the first headliner in 3 years to ever play opposed. It's also strange that he gets 2.5 hours and RHCP only have 2.
