The bathrooms next to the main stage on the beach side were there last year, but nobody seemed to know about them. I never waited in line there, and they were the cleanest I saw all weekend.
Actually, that whole side of the beach was strangely undercrowded. I think people wandered off the boardwalk and just assumed the crowd was that dense all across the beach. That or they just got tired of trekking through sand. I was able to get really close for Paul Simon just by walking up the beach side.

tips for those new to the sand at gulf shores: when moving between stages, just hop up on the concrete and walk. don't try to trudge the whole damn way through the sand. it will destroy your leg muscles.
Changes I noticed: Water stations added, ATMs added, charging stations added, ride & slide replaces mega swings, XBox tent is much bigger now, and VIP Viewing area added closer to 2nd stage.
Thanks for the updated map! @hangoutfest just started following comedian Jeffrey Ross ... doubtful we get a comedy tent at this point though. Maybe a host, kinda like Conan did at Roo a few years back.
I misread the map yesterday. I thought it said Dos Equis Log Ride but it's Dos Equis Log Roll. Ah well. The Ride and Slide looks interesting. Hopefully, it's free.
On my UPS tracking information, it says scheduled to be delivered on April 30. However, on my order status it says shipping label has been created. Then, once it gets to the shipping center the arrival date will be updated. Is anyone else still waiting or did everyone else get their tickets today or yesterday?

No worries dude, I'm in the same boat. Got the email Thursday with my tracking # but UPS still doesn't have the actual package in their system. I decided to ask Frontgate about that, here was their quick response (those guys are always great, btw. I love Frontgate):
"Thanks for contacting Front Gate Tickets!
The fulfillment facility will sometimes print labels in bulk to prepare for packaging. Nothing has been scanned to your order as of yet, but they are not yet finished with fulfillment. If you do not see movement on your tracking number by the end of the week, please let us know."

Can someone who bought a single ticket for 209 tell me how much it was with fees? I am trying to facilitate a sale for postjack but the girl selling it doesn't remember what the total was... She doesn't want to make any money on it, just wants to get out of it what she put in it
Just noticed in the email that the wristbands are RFID'd like Roo's. It sketches me out to think that you could be tracked the whole time you are in the fest. Even for somewhat non-sinister things like targeted advertising, it's just kinda creepy.

If I was going to Hangout this year, I would be stoked bout getting my wristband in the mail vs. those long/hot lines they had the past two years.
I waited for those lines to die last year on friday...just sat on the condo balcony sipping on beers & fruity dranks. I need to start preparing for this festival. I'm going to submit my vacation request today: half day thursday, all day friday and monday. I need to start loading up on alcohol & food ASAP though.

Yeah dude, gotta prep! Only a few weeks away! First year I camped at Gulf State Park, 2nd year we stayed at a lil hotel up 59. We weren't so lucky to be able to pass on the lines, last year was brutal...

EDIT: I only received the email saying that the shipping label has been created, but nothing more. My sister, who bought hers on the same day, is supposed to be receiving hers today and another friend should get it on Friday (he ordered presale).

If you wanted to see Karl Denson, you were stuck in line, last year. The main people I want to see on Friday are the Alabama Shakes and Umphrey's McGee. Everything else is just gravy. I wouldn't mind seeing Rebelution, so we will try to get there around 1pm, but there will be less urgency to get to the gate right when it opens, this year.
