SFA is being an ass and maybe should be voted off just for that reason. But I don't really think he is Mafia. I think if he were, he wouldn't be such an ass and piss people off so that they vote for him just because they are pissed at him.
Catch up on the stuff you haven't read babe. I'm not being an ass at all.
People aren't voting for me because they are pissed at me. People are stacking votes on me because the mafia have set me up. Well, I've set myself up really but either way.
It's just like last game when Mike tried to make a huge deal out of turntable to save his butt. Sarah is trying to make a huge deal out of nothing. Acting like that's all I've had to say the entire game.
If Sarah is innocent then she really needs to rethink her position. I personally find it unlikely at this point.
Last round it was Scrog, Fawn and I that Mike pointed out as Mafia. That was a mistake because mafia realized Fawn would turn against Mike. Now it's Me and two dead players. Now I have to explain the actions of three people in a game of lies and deceit. It's a set up. It so obvious guys. Give me a break!
Ohhh, I won't be cut off my love. If you are mafia then I'm sleeping with the next gutter slut I see.

SFA is cut off for a year if he turns out to be Mafia. CUT OFF!
It could be that Jham is mafia. He was voted for or mentioned by both whacked players. A pretty good indication.
He saved Sarah who is now hell bent against me.
But he's made some post that seem to be helping us.
Holls and Fawn, if you both are innocent, then that's our mafia right there. Jham, Sarah and Mike.
Jham, if you are then you know who should be put in your place. I still think we should focus on Mike D this round. At least to force him to post.
quote author=svs1027 board=games thread=26651 post=913983 time=1313417999] I going to say you are wrong about him being "one of the main reasons" noage was in the run off. When Scrog made this vote:
I say it is a tail, because he looks to be a Mafia Rat. Scrog>>>Noage
The run-off had just started and the this is what the tally looked like:
Vote Tally: LLL - 2 noage - 2 jhammett - 3
Votes So Far: noage>>> Mike D >>> jhammett LLL >>> SFA >>> noage SFA >>> LLL Mike D >>> noage Cap'n Jack >>> jhammett Scrog >>> LLL Popsicle >>> jhammett
Left To Vote: EAP jhammett Holls Fawnmart
With 4 people left to vote Scrog had no idea he was throwing Noage into an eventual 2nd run-off. After this vote took one away from LLL, she received 2 votes in a row making it a 3 way tie with 3 votes each.
Am I wrong?
My point was that he voted for him first. He wouldn't do this with LLL already calling NOage suspicious and Mike calling out Scrog so early. No way the mafia would do something that stupid.
Voting for each other to hide your roles is one thing. Actively placeing one of your own into danger is not smart and highly unlikely for the mafia to do. Especially in the first round.

On a more serious note, you really think I have not read the fucking thread? You really said I have done nothing to help the townies? Granted I have agreed with a few of your ideas, but you keep putting pointless BS and cocky remarks everywhere too.
Fawn, you are right. I am logging in but not posting because of the types of responses I have been getting in general.
Do I need to pull a SFA and vote for someone for a few minutes to prove that I will vote for em? As aggressive as he is only add to my suspicion of him being mafia, regardless of who else I think is mafia. Granted, hacking apart folks posts is part of the game, but I find it hard to believe that if he were a townie he would have had some common ground with me so far instead of making it into a pissing contest.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Holls and Fawn, if you both are innocent, then that's our mafia right there. Jham, Sarah and Mike.
This thought has crossed my mind...that's why I initially voted for JHamm. But I just don't have enough experience to know for sure.
Well, I probably shouldn't have listed people out like that. It was pretty hypocritical after some of my earlier responses to Mike and Fawnmart. About being to stuck on one thoery/person. I was just really frustrated. Thanks for calling me out on running off at the mouth so much.
Having said that. I think the whacks point in that direction but you never know. It's just really strange that the two people whacked by the mafia voted against several players in what seems to be a divided team.
I know I've brought it up before but I think EAP got whacked for this
SFA and FM, since you seem to be the only peeps talking....IMO we need to start looking at the quieter players: holls, mike d, and possibly jhamm/sarah.
Not that she was necessary right on all of them but I do think this post is what got her killed.
I haven't read everyone's posts yet but here were my concerns. If Jack was inspector, Jhamm is Mafia. Clearly. So if you abide by this line of thinking, you should be voting for Jhamm.
I'm not sure I follow, but it seems you and fawnmart are fairly convinced of this so I'm open to changing my vote. He was the one I was most suspicious of in the beginning and I've had this unexplainable uneasiness about him all game.
There was a gap in play over a weekend when Holls, Sarah and Mike D were having a pool party. Someone there is likely Mafia. I thought maybe someone there could have been Inspector, but, I hope that by now they would have come out.
Hollie drove to Nashville on a whim that Saturday. She arrived in Nashville around 3 or 3:30 and left Sunday around noon or 1pm. She needed to get her iPAD and we needed to do a tickets/money swap for tickets to the MMJ show in ATL. Not really sure why her being in Nashville less than 24 hours of a 3 day gap points to one of us being Mafia. ??? I'll speak for myself and say that even though I was around Mike and Hollie for that day I was still able to check Mafia on my phone... and would've been able to participate in the game if anything would've happened. I'm pretty sure if asked they'd say the same thing?
Also, someone changed their profile to private just prior to this game starting, which is kind of weird to me and seems like someone must have told them to do so.....so likely a Mafia partner?
SFA is being an ass and maybe should be voted off just for that reason. But I don't really think he is Mafia. I think if he were, he wouldn't be such an ass and piss people off so that they vote for him just because they are pissed at him.
He is being an ass. If he is innocent like he says and if we are about to lose this game like he says then why the hell would he so careless about pissing off the very people he needs to convince to vote with him?? I have plenty more things to say to SFA, but honestly I'm not going to waste my time. He's not listening to what anyone says, just picking out certain parts that he can get worked up about. If he'd just calm down he would probably make more sense. I'm prepared to switch my vote to someone else, but I do feel like voting him out just simply because he's pissed me off. GRRR SFA, if we lose because of the way you've acted then I'm going to hold a grudge. Just sayin' The only reason I continued to play this game is my competitive side won't let me quit. I hate losing.

It was Holls, who has changed it back very recently. As in possibly since I mentioned it. I sent myself a FB message to recording everyone who logged in just prior to the first kill announcement, and Holls was listed as having logged in last on July 29th, which is the day that we received our messages from NBF stating our roles.
Here is a copy of the message, sent to myself on Aug 8th.
Angela Côté-Meyers FawnMart 708 am, Mike 930 am, Jhamm 732am, Scrog private, Holls recently private (July 29th), EAP private. SFA Private, Sarah Aug 6th.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

On a more serious note, you really think I have not read the quacking thread?
Of course not. I just think that if you look things over I don't think it's possible that the 3 names you gave could be working together. Especially, since the mafia whack that follow the post I was responded to went completely against the interest of those that you called out.
You really said I have done nothing to help the townies?
If you are right about Scrog then you have. Besides that you haven't really posted much. Claming three people as possible Mafia and then not saying anything in forever is sort of frustrating and a little confusing. Which is one reason I got more suspicious of you.
Granted I have agreed with a few of your ideas, but you keep putting pointless BS and cocky remarks everywhere too.
I'd like to hear what you agree about. That would be helpful. Pointless BS? Hmmmm. So I can't say your ideas of bad or I'm the badguy. I take the time to defend myself and try to figure things out and get little to no response from one of people that is pretty certain I'm mafia. You haven't made a very strong case against me but this? Everything I've written and all the holes I've put into peoples theories most all be wrong I guess.
Fawn, you are right. I am logging in but not posting because of the types of responses I have been getting in general.
If you aren't posting because of something I've said, then I'm sorry. That was absolutely not my intention. I don't plan to be a loud mouth anymore.
Do I need to pull a SFA and vote for someone for a few minutes to prove that I will vote for em?
I explained why I voted and switched my vote. It was a dumb move to vote for Fawnmart because it could have ended up in a runoff between me and someone pretty low on my list of suspects. I NEVER said it proved anything once I went switched to null.
As aggressive as he is only add to my suspicion of him being mafia, regardless of who else I think is mafia. Granted, hacking apart folks posts is part of the game, but I find it hard to believe that if he were a townie he would have had some common ground with me so far instead of making it into a pissing contest.
You'd need two people to make it a contest. Honestly, I realize I get a little over the top in this game. Especially when I'm feeling put in a corner. I don't feel that I've been very aggressive until I had votes be stacked on me and it seemed that some people didn't care what I said they were gonna vote for me. When you know you are innocent and you think you've got some pretty solid theories you get a little bent out of shape. I know it's the nature of the game but it does make you a little heated.
As to common ground. You are the one that hasn't responded to several of my replies to you. That's how you build common ground. By communicating, so it's pretty unfair to try and blame that on me.

Yes it does point to one of you being Mafia, absolutely. Like when we were Mafia with Bek. She took a day or two to respond to PM's sometimes. She didn't communicate well because of that. I had no idea she was going to vote you off that first round, she didn't discuss it with me or you at all. When that happens, it slows down the game because you have to PM your partner. "hey what do you think about voting off so and so?"......wait....wait...wait "No, I dont' like that idea" "So who do you think we should vote off?" wait....wait....wait....drink a drink poolside....wait wait...."Capt Jack" "Oh Ok"
See?
Also, I completely respect your disliking of Mafia. I wrote about 6 rants quitting mid-game my first two games that I subsequently erased because I was taking things personally and hadn't learned to dissociate myself from my character. Now I just pretend like I'm in a movie playing a role. This role is Townie, last one was the bad guy. But it was hard to do. I assume that everyone else is doing the same, and that is how I keep from hating some people or overly trusting others.

I didn't feel like some of you would change your minds no matter what I said, to be honest. That's why I became so convince it had to be you. I know some of the things I've done have made me look guilty but no one has built a strong case against me at all.
Ohhh, you ain't mad at me. You, Mike, and I were chatting it up all nice and normal on turntable will you were busy on here calling me an ass and then you booted me. Then tried to talk me into going to MMJ with y'all. (No ref, we didn't say anything about the game)
I hate losing too. That why I get all bent out of shape when I feel nobody is understanding me. I'm way to dramatic for this game. I always end up looking suspicious when I'm not and having to go back and reexplain myself. For what it's worth, I think you are a good player but I understand why you don't won't to play again. I really hate voting for people. I always feel bad unless I'm convinced they are mafia. If memories serves I've only help vote off one townie in all the games I've played. That's not because I'm super good. It's just because I don't won't to vote for out.
I have plenty more things to say to SFA, but honestly I'm not going to waste my time. He's not listening to what anyone says, just picking out certain parts that he can get worked up about.
I've listened to what everyone has said. I've responded to pretty much every post and gave my thoughts. For the most part I've been very polite and haven't butted heads with anyone except you and Mike... A got testy with you because you stacked a vote on me and it made me feel like nothing I've said the entire game has been heard by anyone.
All that said, like I said to Mike and Holls I'm gonna shut up for the most part.

SFA, just because people don't do what YOU say, doesn't mean they don't hear you. They just don't think that you are right, or they don't believe you. Get over it.

I'm steppin' out.

It was Holls, who has changed it back very recently.
Yep, that's me...been lurking on these boards since '07 and finally decided to stop being visible at all times. I wasn't coached; I learned that trick from watching the rest of y'all post in the Arcade while you were supposedly "offline" - so there ya go. And FWIW: I switched before this game started, not that it matters.
The times & frequencies of my log-ins are totally irrelevant to this game. I've received only 1 PM during this entire game - that's the role notification one. I've sent exactly ZERO PMs to any player (dead or living) of this game regarding the game. That doesn't exactly sound like a Mafia move now, does it? Yeah, didn't think so.
Post by LoveLuckLaughter on Aug 15, 2011 20:56:39 GMT -5
you switched it July 29th to invisible, the exact day that we received our PMs. It was still turned off as of August 8th for sure. I'm not sure when you switched it back to visible, but it was within the last few days. Very Mafia like.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Yeah, and keeping track of other players' login times? That's definitely NOT something an Inspector would do. Noooo, Inspectors don't overanalyze and scrutinize everything...oh, wait! That's EXACTLY what they do!!! Somebody cue the choirs of angels; I believe I might have just had an epiphany!
Has it not occurred to ANYBODY that if I had actually received ANY coaching from ANYONE (which obviously I haven't since I still don't have a clue how to play this game!) that I would have been told "Hey, don't make yourself visible then invisible because it'll look suspicious." If I had anybody watching my back, I would have known not to do that. So obviously, that hasn't happened, because I have no freakin' idea what's considered red flag-worthy. But, "frankly, Scarlett..."

See?
Ok, I see what you are saying about how things get delayed when you are mafia. I still see how it means one of them is mafia. I know we haven't hung out much, but if we did have the chance to hang out more you would see how addicted to our smart phones and other technologies we are. I'm pretty sure SFA could confirm this, as he witnessed it first hand on Mike's birthday weekend. I'm not sure how everyone else's account is set up, but I get an email notification on my phone when I get a PM on inforoo. The only person that I can see having trouble getting away to respond would be Holls. If I had needed to get away to respond to something I'd of just gone into the bedroom. I never noticed any suspicious phone/computer activity, but maybe that's what you mean... ugh... for some reason I don't want to believe that my closest friends would be deceptive. I wouldn't necessarily be "mad" if Mike and/or Holls turned out to be mafia because they'd just be playing the game, but I think I'd have a twinge of disappointment. Is this normal??
Also, I completely respect your disliking of Mafia. I wrote about 6 rants quitting mid-game my first two games that I subsequently erased because I was taking things personally and hadn't learned to dissociate myself from my character. This makes a lot of sense and I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was beginning to think I was crazy. Alright, I'm going to put on my big girl panties and try to play make-believe for awhile. I've always has trouble exercising my willing suspension of disbelief, so this might actually be a good thing for me.
SFA, just because people don't do what YOU say, doesn't mean they don't hear you. They just don't think that you are right, or they don't believe you.
This or they don't follow what you're saying.
Can I get the definition of vote stacking please? I was the 2nd vote for you which doesn't mean stacking to me, but maybe I need to know what other people consider stacking.
The tally looked like this right before I cast my vote:
Vote Tally: Fawnmart - 1 Mike D - 1 jhammett - 1 SFA - 1
Votes So Far: Mike D >>> Fawnmart SFA >>> Fawnmart >>> null >>> Mike D Holls >>> jhammett Fawnmart >>> SFA
Left To Vote: LLL jhammett Popsicle Sarah
The only people I could've voted for that had no votes were myself, LLL, and Holls. So if I vote for someone who already has one vote, then it's considered stacking? I'm not being a smart ass here, I'm seriously asking for an answer.

Yeah, it's normal. When I found out LLL was mafia I was in shock for awhile. I wasn't mad. I just couldn't believe that she duped me so bad. Now I think it's funny but for a hour or I just sort of thought..WTF was I thinking? And I was so pumped because I just knew we had won!
Edit: Almost forgot... Yes. They are all gadget junkies. I can confirm that.
SFA, just because people don't do what YOU say, doesn't mean they don't hear you. They just don't think that you are right, or they don't believe you.
This or they don't follow what you're saying.
Well, I'm dyslexic so I'm sure I'm not the easiest person to have to read long posts by. If there is something major, you might could ask me to clarify? Plus dealing with votes, etc. Yeah, I'm sure things are jumbled. I can't help it. Plus, I'm a huge editing type of person because I always see my mistakes better after I take my mind of off stuff for a while, so the no editing taboo really kicks my butt.

Yeah, this was my fault. I didn't say that right. I don't consider a second vote stacking. Someone is always forced to make them if no one else will. I would define stacking as when someone has 2 or more votes then any other player. That's when things start to look shady. Not always but it's something to watch out for. That's what I think it is. Someone else might can explain it better.
I thought I had a reciprocal vote coming from Mike, so I assumed at the time that made it three. So I guess Mike would have been the theoretical stacker. Sometimes people get called out for voting for someone with a reciprocal vote coming. But to be honest, I was pretty sure you were going to vote for me anyway. I mean I did help vote you into a runoff last round. So all is fair in Mafia really.

You DID! Bastard!
Ok, so now what? When I got it in my head that SFA was mafia I went with it and had convinced myself that was the answer. Not saying I'm wrong, but I can't say that I'm right either. I want so badly to not fuck up and be the reason the Mafia win.
Vote Tally: SFA - 2 Mike D - 2 jhammett - 2 Fawnmart - 1
Votes So Far: Mike D >>> Fawnmart SFA >>> Fawnmart >>> null >>> Mike D Holls >>> jhammett >>> SFA Fawnmart >>> SFA >>> jhammett Popsicle Sarah >>> SFA jhammett >>> Fawnmart >>> Mike D LLL >>> jhammett
Left To Vote:
Voting remains open.
If so, then the only move I see that I can make is to replace SFA with FM for going to a runoff. I don't feel comfortable with that so I reckon I'll stay with what I've done so far...
Oh and I do have one more question. Is there a way to get a notification when someone posts here?
Post by NothingButFlowers on Aug 15, 2011 23:45:15 GMT -5
I believe this is still correct. I haven't seen any votes cast since this one.
Vote Tally: SFA - 2 Mike D - 2 jhammett - 2 Fawnmart - 1
Votes So Far: Mike D >>> Fawnmart SFA >>> Fawnmart >>> null >>> Mike D Holls >>> jhammett >>> SFA Fawnmart >>> SFA >>> jhammett Popsicle Sarah >>> SFA jhammett >>> Fawnmart >>> Mike D LLL >>> jhammett
