I am more than open to listen to discussion about this vote. Not feeling at all certain that there is no mafia in this runoff. Almost as equally unsure if there is one, which person is it. While i've found his actions very peculiar, I'm not stuck firm on my Scrog vote.
Well this is interesting. EAP and FM, I did try to "bully" the two of you to vote for each other, because despite me poking MikeD and stirring up conversation, I have a feeling/hunch you are both Mafia and I want to see you both vote for each other, so I could rule you out as Mafia. EAP, your comments have been some what strange. First you vote for me because you think I am "weirdly aggressive" and then 22 minutes later you talk about, "vote stacking" going on. MikeD picked me, because I picked him and he has not changed his vote, Holls is the other vote and she has made me nervous(and is my 4th Mafia guess), but they already had votes on me. FM you are too smart for your own good. You have mixed your votes up, vote for me, then Null, now back to vote for me. Not sure what to make of that. EAP, why did you switch your vote from Popsicle to me? Her and I both had 3 votes at that time, with me only to vote. Your unexpected vote switch put me at 4 votes and PS at 2 votes. Why the switch? I don't feel i've mixed my votes up Scrog. My initial votes were for LLL. Why.. because of the start to the game where the Jack/Jham switches gave you a controlling vote right from the get go. And you started with a vote for LLL etc. To a nOOb that all seemed suspicious and I thought LLL might be wrapped up in that with possibly some form of you, her, Jack/jham. And choosing LLL was not going to directly cause a death.
The game appeared to me to continue to be heavily Scrog centric. I explained my thoughts when i voted for you. And I think i explained my thoughts when I nulled my vote. I was turning in for the night and was really caught off guard by the SFA/Holls change up. Holls comments on trusting myself and mike really caught my attention. This is the game of Mafia. Best i can tell is you can not trust anyone.
I nulled my vote so i could sleep with a clear conscious and stated clearly that it was not as much that i had changed my thoughts on your game, as I was surprised how things had turned and wanted to think about it.
The overnight talk had a lot going on. I will listen to reasonable discussion and even arguments. However, as a town's person, I will not be intimidated into a vote, especially not by someone that i am voting for at the time. Persueded or convinced - quite possibly. Intimidated by runoff threats - No. My fear of this game as a noob is not dying young, but screwing up and voting out the inspector if he/she still lives as they are our best chance.
You will see at games end that I am a townie. A vocal one yes - but how else do you try to make sense of the game? I can not begin to try to connect any of the dots just by analyzing votes.
Coming into the runoff now there are three choices. And not easy ones. Of the three, the one you are asking me to vote for I find least suspicious. Perhaps too quiet and maybe thats where I am making a big mistake. So i vote for you or SFA. Tough call after the switch up the other night with SFA/Holls. However, i would have to defend the switch (in my mind) and i'm not certain i could do that yet.
So for now I am standing with the thoughts that this game is heavily scrog centric. And am anxious to hear from the other experienced players as to their thoughts on this vote.

You ask why am I so confident? When I asked you to switch your vote from PS to FM and I would switch my vote from you to FM, it was just that. Your actions post that have raised red flags for me. I gave you an option to remove yourself from the run-off and put someone else in the run-off. You declined. You said, you did not change your vote, because it would not have made a difference. Except, for you it would have. Did you not want FM in the run-off and you out? Now this round, instead of letting me vote PS off, you switched your vote from her to me, giving her 2 votes and me 4. This confirmed what I was thinking.
I see the scenario, where you did not want to vote for FM, because she was Mafia and it did not matter if you or FM were in the run-off. You were not going to take yourself out and put another Mafia in the run-off. About this time, PS had changed her vote from you to SFA. I do not think SFA was trying to convenience Holls to switch votes off him, it just happened that way. but that gives PS an excuse to change her vote from EAP to SFA, without being too suspicious. This move took EAP out of the run-off and put SFA back in the run-off. At this point I asked FM to vote for you EAP and let's have 4 person run-off. I wanted 4 people run-off, because I thought 2 of them were Mafia and two were not. We got a 3 person, when FM voted for Jham, not EAP, but JHam. Then, with Popsicle Sarah and I both at 3 votes each and only me to vote, you switched your vote from PS to me, giving me 4 votes and PS only 2 votes. HELLO! Why did you not want me to vote PS off? Why do you want to vote me off, do you see me as Mafia? If so, why are you Null right now?
ugh now i feel conflicted. there is some stacking going on here for sure, but i really think the sad fact is that we might have three innocents. scrog why did you have to be so scary???
If there are three innocents like you claim, then there is not vote stacking. The Mafia can spread their 3 votes out for whom ever. If Mafia are in the run-off the mafia will not vote for their partner and will stack their votes towards a townie. I think you have been tagged and now are trying to figure a way out of this. Which should be your question and not, "scrog why did you have to be so scary???" If the inspector was not killed off on Day 1, I hope they are seeing this.

1. I agree: MikeD has been verrrrrrry quiet this game. Even though this is my first game, I've observed a few & he usually seems much more active than this go-'round. Which brings me to my next thought:
2. I don't trust MikeD...or FM...or SFA...or Scrog...or anybody. NO ONE is trustworthy in this game. My inexperience means I'm not trusting anybody, but I'm also not putting much thought (or logic!) in my vote. Let's face it: I'm a clueless newb townie who would rather quietly observe & follow the voting style of more experienced players in a feeble, halfassed attempt at learning how to play the game. But doing that got me two votes, so I changed mine - thanks to SFA's suggestion. FWIW: I'm still not sure if that was coaching or conning.
3. I still have no clue what the hell's going on, but I'm suspicious of two types of people: those who aren't speaking up and who have never been voted into a runoff (or whatever it's called when people vote for you), and people who spend an inordinate amount of time explaining their every.bloody.move. to avoid being considered "suspicious."

I know I've been quiet and I apologize. There was no action on my day off over the weekend, and now I'm back to working 10 hour days. I got a free DCFC ticket last minute tonight and I'm missing the beginning so I can check in here... Yeah Death Cab!!!! (Great seats too!)
I have been reading, but not posting anything recently. I was really trying to get more of yall in the game and discussing things, which I feel is leading us in the right direction.
Honestly, I am still caught up on Scrog a little bit. Granted he is a newer player, to me he seems to be playing really ballsy for a newer townie (if he is). In the first round it seemed he didn't want me looking into things and I was called out for "digging deep" and as the game has progressed, he is doing the exact same thing to us. Add that to the Fawnmart deal on the first page. Then he tries to get Sarah out of the runoff and put Fawnmart in. Add that to LLL saying she had two points about him, but wouldn't say one of em, and it took a while for the first. Then LLL votes for Sarah instead of Scrog in the runoff. SFA has seemed to kind of bow out/lay lower than usual, not sure what to think about that, but everyone seems to think he is innocent. I can't say much about Sarah as I don't have suspicions of her yet. Her playing style is different than when she was mafia, but it isn't her first game anymore. I am confident in my vote for Scrog as I believe he is Mafia.

Well, I am innocent. How am I laying low? If I wanted to lay low I would have return the vote from LLL and not made moves that would draw attention my way. There really wasn't much to discuss in the first round, so I didn't post much then.

I can tell you that last statement is wrong. I understand what you are saying, but I think EAP is Mafia and if so, then Popsicle Sarah falls right behind her.
LLL and SFA and Jham have not given me any reason as being Mafia, but I could be wrong.
I am not going by total posts, long explanations, or number of vote changes. I find it easier and more efficient to judge more on style of play and how your posts have been worded. I can follow most folks when they explain in depth voting patterns and swaps and what not, but I couldn't do it for shit.

What about my style of play and the wording of my posts? I'm pretty much playing like I always have but i find it odd that you imply I'm doing something shady but don't give a single concrete example. Except for saying I'm laying low but then later explain that your not going off anything that falls under the definition of laying low.
Couldn't do what for shit? Understand why I voted for Sarah? I laid it out as clear as I could. I'm not so sure the Mafia killed Jack to throw us off. I think they thought he was the inspector, so either we were right to vote for Noage or they voted Jack because they thought he was voting against them. Therefore, I picked an LLL voter.
I'm not saying I'm right and maybe I'm playing into the mafia's plan but it's the best blind vote I could think to make. Plus, I wanted to get some reactions from people and the fact that most of the people that didn't vote for Noage are now voting for Scrog doesn't make think I made the wrong choice for a run-off candidate.

I implore you guys: LLL, SFA, Jham... Please read things over again. EAP: I'm not surprised you bought all the recent noise from SFA, Mike D, & Scrog. They have more time to talk in circles than I do. I would've bought it to in your position. If only I had more time I could convince you. I did switch from wanting FM in the run-off to wanting EAP in the run-off(you are saying post 134 and 135, I say from post 130 to 132), I was thinking EAP and FM were Mafia and I wanted to see them vote against each other. When, EAP did not want to vote for FM, I found that to be strange and her comments to be stranger, so I then asked FM to vote for EAP. Neither wanted to vote for the other. Is that because 'Scrog' is asking or is it because they just did not want to vote for someone just because someone else asked. After that, I see EAP protecting Popsicle. I could be way off, but this is what I am seeing.
