^ A few friends of mine had a handle of Goldschlager for a trip from UConn to WestConn (about 80 miles apart, mostly highway). It was gone by the time they hit Newtown, 15 miles left on the trip. Driver was drinking on that one though.

Okay so here's the likely beer lineup coming in my giant-ass cooler after I make the rounds to the breweries tonight:
Fullsteam - Working Man's Lunch A tribute to the Southern tradition of an RC Cola and a MoonPie. We brew this beer with biscuity malts, vanilla, and chocolate nibs from Raleigh’s own Escazu Artisan Chocolates. But instead of using a traditional, dry English or Scottish ale yeast, we get zany and brew with a German (Weihenstephan) yeast strain. The result is a drinkable, “dark ale” with vanilla and chocolate notes. Have your three martinis, Boss Man. We’ll take a Working Man’s Lunch. 6.0% ABV
Triangle Brewing Company - Golden Ale This strong golden ale measures in at 8% & showcases a variety of the ingredients and brewing methods that help differentiate Triangle beers. The Strong Golden is fermented at a higher temperature than our other beers adding an undercurrent of fruitiness (although there is no fruit in the beer). Very lightly filtered, the Golden exhibits complex mouthfeel, strong malt flavors, a spicy hop presence and soothing alcohol warmth, followed by a clean, dry finish. It is excellent with food as well as served by itself. Bronze Medal Winner at 2009 & 2011 Carolina Championship of Beer.
Bull City Burgers and Brewery - Rhine ESP Ale(Ephemerally Spiced Pumpkin) Brewed with 150 pounds of French heirloom pumpkins, this pumkin beer is lightly spiced and well balanced with hops. This isn't pumpkin pie in a bottle, it is a truely unique and enjoyable seasonal beer that you'll wish was available all year! 5.9% ABV
Lonerider - Sweet Josie Brown Ale A temptress who will seduce you, Sweet Josie is crafted in the American Brown style. This is a complex beer balancing a nice hop bitterness with a generous amount of chocolate and aromatic malts. 6.1% ABV.
Aviator Brewing - Hotrod Red A somewhat classic Irish Red Ale. This ale is feisty and a bit hoppy. There is a malty sweetness and a somewhat dry finish. Traditional East Kent Goldings but with a nice touch of Cascade and dash of roasted barley give this ale a great taste. Plenty of crystal malt with some roasted barley.
Natty Greene's - Cannonball Double IPA A strong-style India Pale Ale, deep copper in color with a big, malty, hoppy palate and dry hopped for a spicy, citrus aroma.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

A couple of these sound very interesting! Cool variety!
And yes, I was talking about it being in a car. I know in TN you can have it but it can not be near the driver. I'm not sure about NC laws.

It'll be alright for about 90% of the trip, just once I cross the river it'll probably suck. And even then, I'm hoping things quiet down by that point.

You all are making me happy about me 3.5 hour drive tomorrow afternoon. I'm planning to leave Durham around 3 but hopefully sooner if I can get my work done fast and move up the company meeting. At least it is beer Friday and we start drinking in the office at 11
dammit probably wont start giving away the Little Dragon passes until I am back on a greyhound with terrible wifi. abrak have you called about your tickets? I called the Asheville civic center and there were none under my name yet but the Tuned Inn people just said they would be under will call.

Hey you guys! Thanks alot for being totally awesome and outstanding people and for helping make this one of the best weekends of my life. Sorry I couldn't get up to the cabin last night, there were...uh...circumstances that led me to get heroically drunk around the time we parted ways for Beats Antique/Active Child. Luckily I made my flight this morning and I'm back here in sunny Denver! A bunch of you have my # if you ever find yourself in Colorado looking to have a good time. Also hit me up on fb so we can stay in touch, fb.com/verlander.
And now for a few pics...

Guys .. Seriously thanks for everything. Y'all made this weekend for me and mine. Laggy .. Gimme a day to piece together some things. I know your philosophy on city festivals but I'll tell you there is a difference between city festivals and Moogfest in Asheville on Halloween weekend.
