Thumbs up to both those bands. I've heard nothing but good things about this Stax Revue (how often do you get the chance to see Steve fuckin' Cropper?), and this Orchestre Poly-Rhytmo are apparently the funkiest band in Africa. Couple this with Charles Bradley, and damn! I'm sould.
I had no idea they were touring. That really is my "Wow" factor this time around.
I'll look into Orchestre Poly-Rhytmo. I know nothing about them.
Also: Can I just say that I'm stoked that now there are new possible Wilco dates? I'll ride those into the festival.

Ya I didn't know this until earlier when I was googeling the stuff I hadn't heard of and I saw their lineup. My jaw dropped. They are probably #2 on my list of must sees behind MMJ. With two of the MG's there and Jim singing on his last album they really need to convince Booker T to come on up for the weekend.

I'm happy so many of you like this. It really doesn't do too much for me. I am seeing the bands that I like within a month or two of this fest. If I wouldn't have snoozed on the $100 tickets it would be worth it, now not so much, especially after factoring the hotel. However, I think I am going to head down for Saturday and do the Roll Call Bundle. That is if I can convince my boss to give me the days off of work to drive down. If not, I'll buy the tickets anyway, and I am sure some one may want them from here.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
Finally got to sit down and look through the schedule (in meetings all day). Saturday and Sunday look great, Friday looks a little weaker. Not that big into Bassnectar. Keeping my fingers cross for a good Friday late night show. I am very excited for the Soul Sax review. I saw Steve Cropper play with Jerry Lee Lewis last year, he is amazing.
It looks like there will be a bunch of adds. I am hoping for some good mid-size acts like Cage the Elephant or Infamous Stringdusters.
