Any Roll Call members willing to purchase extra VIP upgrades, please let me know! I'm looking for 2 extras for my friends. Bacon hooked me up with one, already. Karma and props.

I am also looking for a generous roll call member who can acquire two of the MMJ "pit and poster" packages. I would be entirely and greatly appreciative of your efforts!
I wasn't familiar with Galaxie 500 but I like it. Definitely something to check out on the weaker day.
He did this at Primavera Sound last year and I geeked out at the idea of a stateside tour. G500 is one of those bands that I never got to see. This is the next best thing.
What's weird to me is forecastle is supposed to be mmj-curated, yet newport folk fest looks more like that than forecastle. New Multitudes, Carl Broeml solo, Conor Oberst, Iron & Wine are all mmj-friendly bands that I thought would be at Forecastle. I'm not complaining. I dig the lineup, and it's in my backyard so I'll be there for sure. Just thought it was worth noting.

I was thinking the same thing. That Newport lineup is what I was expecting for Forecastle.

I'm hoping forecastle is holding back some surprises. I'm reading that Yim already has plans for all these collabs at Newport, so I would really hope they have stuff like this planned for their hometown fest.
I feel exactly the same way as you guys do. I figure that NFF had that as their initial lineup and they arranged it so that there wouldn't be too much overlap between the two but later they will announce more. I can't imagine how New Multitudes wouldn't be at Forecastle, it's Woody Guthrie's bday weekend.
I was also hoping for Eddie Vedder, Jack White and not Bassnectar as a headliner?
My buddy is a Rollcall member and got us fixed up this morning with a couple of the Sound Check Party / Pit passes. I also noticed we get a special VIP entrance to the festival all weekend long. Pretty pretty good!
I just bought my soundcheck package an hour-ish ago. Here's what you get:
Forecastle Sound Check Bundles are $40 each and include the following: -Access for one to MMJ's Soundcheck Party on Saturday, July 14th -Access for one to the PIT for MMJ's set on Saturday, July 14th -One Limited Edition MMJ Autographed Poster -One Commemorative MMJ Pit & Soundcheck Party Access Wristband
Also, I heard that the soundcheck will be something like 9am
I asked the Forecastle peeps about the late night situation and if acts initially announced were the late night acts or if new ones would be announced. Here's what they said:
"Sometimes its repeats from the festival, sometimes it's separately booked. Just depends... all the details will be revealed soon but they are going to be unlike any other!"
that's brilliant! I can't believe I've never made it to Waterfront. I visit my family in Louisville at least once a year, but I suppose I've never made it to that area.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, so I guess I've got some researching to do

The Roll Call Admin said that the time is still being worked out and it could happen between 9 and 12.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
Bit the bullet yesterday and joined Roll Call. Bought pit packages for all my friends. Betting MMJ blows this sucker out. Christmas in July. I'm all in, guys.

It is well worth it. The poster the send when you join Roll Call is real nice. Also presales etc, can't beat it.
