IT IS WATCHING BOATS FLOAT DOWN THE OHIO RIVER WHILE FLOATING IN DOWNTOWN’S ONLY OUTDOOR HOTEL SWIMMING POOL.
Our refreshing outdoor pool with a waterfront view is the only one in downtown Louisville. The pool is a great place to recharge while taking in the spectacular views of the waterfront. Ideal for indulging, join us at the Waterside Café for a cool drink or a snack.
Hmmm, now I'm thinking that we should also do the roll call package too on top of already buying VIP for Saturday. Would love to hang out with everyone for the sound check and be in the pit party :-(
Anyone else around here doing VIP?
I went on and did VIP. Decided to not get a pit pass because I figured there would be some VIP viewing area (I hope).

Woot woot- we'll party with kwisatz in VIP! We really like the sound of the roll call package but already dropped alot of money for this on lodging too. Wanna have some money left for BBQ and after party and moonshine.
I'm gonna write to the very friendly Forecastle VIP rep about the potential for some pit action as well.
Sounds like a plan. Not sure if there is any decent BBQ in Louisville but one of use from Nashville area should be able to hook you up with some moonshine. Remind me closer to the festival, I might be able to come up with some.
I live in Louisville and have yet to get any good BBQ here. I have only tried one place was pretty disappointed and I've heard that most the other places are pretty sub par as well.
However if you want some good sushi, Indian food, Cuban food, or Mexican food then I have some suggestions for you guys.

Cuban place- is it close to the Galt? Don't have good Cuban where I come from.
Alll the cool bars & restaurants are on Bardstown Rd in the Highlands area. The only way I see myself getting to hit some of them is if there's a good late-night show out there at Headliner's or something. Jack Fry's is a great restaurant.
FORESCATLE FESTIVAL: It already seems like July can't get here soon enough, but the next few months are going to be jam-packed with lots of contests, giveaways, artist content and additions, after party details and plenty more surprises. So tune in, turn on and get ready, Travelers....
I think we are getting at least one more holy poop surprise
