finally got a pt job so hopefully I can make this happen
hopefully they pay you enough so you can purchase a suitcase! :-P
^ THIS!!!
I say we all pitch in & get him a backpack, then stuff it full of festival swag. But you've gotta admit: this is classic. (srsly, rdk: it's one of my favorite pics from the show!)
Why do we think that the after party tix will sell out so fast? Do they every year?
The capacity of that boat is something like 500 according to people from past years.
Ok, gotcha. I'm never good at getting tix quickly (chalk it up to bad luck, I guess). Are they having different venues, beside the boat party, this year as well? I thought that I read/heard that somewhere...
FORESCATLE FESTIVAL: It already seems like July can't get here soon enough, but the next few months are going to be jam-packed with lots of contests, giveaways, artist content and additions, after party details and plenty more surprises. So tune in, turn on and get ready, Travelers....
I think we are getting at least one more holy poop surprise
i agree with this, friday just seems so much weaker than the other days, and i wouldn't be surprised if we got a different headliner that night. i guess the smashing pumpkins were a late add one year so they DO add big acts later on.
i can't believe this thing is still 4 months away, if they really do announce a mmj/pres hall boat show I have no clue how i'll be able to deal with the anticipation.

I think it's awesome. He looks like an artist going from show to show with his stuff and his cigarette like he doesn't give a fuck.

Yes word is there will be other venues in the city as well.
I live in Louisville and have yet to get any good BBQ here. I have only tried one place was pretty disappointed and I've heard that most the other places are pretty sub par as well.
However if you want some good sushi, Indian food, Cuban food, or Mexican food then I have some suggestions for you guys.
Cuban place- is it close to the Galt? Don't have good Cuban where I come from.
There is a great place called Havana Rumba. Unfortunately it isn't walking distance from the Galt. But It isn't too terrible far. If you're looking to take a cab for lunch one day or something.
How fast are we thinking the night shows will sell out?? Those are like the biggest draw for me so I would really like to see every one that I can.

My guess would be Friday. It seems unlikely they would close the Main fest and 30-60min later get on another stage and play another who knows how long.
I've heard the newly renovated Ice House is supposed to host aftershows this year. The capacity is around 2400. The Belle only accommodates 650-750 people. MMJ almost sold out the Yum Center, so a 750 seat show would be disappointing and might induce rioting! I'd be surprised if Headliners, Zanzabar or the Monkey Wrench didn't host something awesome for Forecastle. Eats downtown: Patrick O'Sheas and my personal favorite Against the Grain Brewery! If you're driving, there's tons of great local places to eat throughout the city. If you get out to Bardstown Road, Wick's pizza and Cumberland Brewery are great. If you can find a seat, the Holy Grail has the best beer outside of Against the Grain! Louisville prides itself on small business promotion (Keep Louisville Weird!) so try some of the local fair and wares if you can. I just got my ticket and can't wait!
Oh, and Banshee, try Bootleg BBQ if you haven't. There's one on Bardstown Rd. waaay out past Fern Creek and one on Preston in Okolona. I haven't had it in years, but back when I was a flesheater it was my favorite! and Havana Rumba is awesome!!!
I know we're supposed to be patient since they just released the lineup but there's so many "unknowns" that I'm already getting antsy for the next annoucement. With the fest being over 4 months away, how long do you think we'll have to wait until the next big announcement comes out???
Forecastle just tweeted: "Tomorrow we'll announce another artist that'll be bobbing heads and blowing minds on the shores of the Ohio. We can hardle contain ourselves."

Hmmmm who could it be?!
Nice! That means tomorrow will be a lot like the lineup-drop day: I won't be getting much done at work.
