I try to get Shpongled as much as I possibly can! Excited for this Masquerade business, heard it's a way better version of Shpongletron, but nothing will beat their live performances.
Yea I'm pretty excited for it. The last time I was Sphongled my brain was on shut down mode at Rothbury. I was there, I have pics to prove it, but couldn't tell you one thing about it. I'm hoping to be more aware this time around, but who knows, it really depends on when the set is and what I might have stumbled across that day. I'll be there, aware or not lol
Sphongle on Halloween?? In NYC? My eyes would pop out of my head. As for the masquerade business, I'm thinking it involves more visuals. If not, i'll just provide my own

by Mothers day for sure. I dont even want to think about all the tough decisions to be made then. ughhhhh but i guess its a good thing that so many artists i want to see are there. so i will stfu and quit complaining now lol
DO NOT SLEEP ON JC BROOKS AND THE UPTOWN SOUND!! I caught them open for Galactic here in Pittsburgh...probably my favorite show Ive seen so far this year.
Those additions are monsterous! Im inching ever closer to pulling the trigger on this.

If it were not for the camping situation I would already be down, I am really starting to consider VIP though.

elaborate on "camping situation" - is it really bad?
Ughhh looks like my info was outdated. Shuttling with my gear to festival that allows no outside alcohol seems like such a bad idea.
Wait, so we can or cannot bring in beers?
No. And a 12 pack of Budweiser is about $20. Look, sneaking stuff in has NEVER been a problem for me. Not parking by your car isn't much fun, but you can leave the grounds to go to your car.
WHATEVER YOU DO.... bring some sort of wagon to bring your stuff in with you. Sometimes it can be quite the haul to your campsite and more than a couple trips isn't fun

in VIP you can not camp by your car, but the VIP parking lot is right next to where u camp so its a short jaunt. if u are camping in general admission, yes, i would suggest bringing a wagon. If i wasn't doing RV, i'd be doing VIP in a new york minute.

side note, if u want to camp by ur car, u can get a RV non - electric spot and camp by your car, that's the only way to camp by your vehicle and also the easiest way to bring in your own booze
I think I'll take my chances and try to bring some beers in; worst case scenario they take em at the gate! I might get lucky.
I'll definitely be bringing a wagon with me for this one! I'm also planning on paying the $30 to come in on thursday in hopes of getting a decent campsite. I like to set up at fests early so I have time to get comfortable. Does anyone have a suggestion of a decent wagon to buy for this kind of thing?
Also, any other tips about the area would be great. I'm coming from MA and I've never been close to IL so I have no idea what to expect in terms of heat or pests or anything like that!
