I was so sad when they showed Dukie shooting up at the end of season 5.
SPOILERS
It was sad, but it fit so well into the cyclical nature of the show. Omar died. Michael stepped into his place. Bubbles got clean. Dukie starts shooting up. Everything in the city is just stuck in a loop.
It's not my favorite and I don't think it's the best scene, but Wallace's death in season 1 definitely sticks out as the first "Holy sh*t!" moment of the series for me. Up until that point I don't think I'd seen a death in a movie or T.V. show that felt more real than that one. Totally floored me.
Knew he was about to get killed but definitely didn't imagine it happening like that. Poor wallace
About to start season 2. No idea why I put this show off for so long.

Liking season 2 more than season 1 so far. The past 3 episodes have been great leading up to the finale which I am about to watch.
Season 2 really got deeper into the tension between Stringer and Avon which I absolutely loved. Season 2 gets underrated, IMO. It's pretty solid and you need a lot of Season 2 to set up the later seasons.
I'm halfway through season 2 right now and I think I'm definitely liking it more the second time around. The first time I went through the series I think I wasn't ready for the shift in focus and introduction of so many new characters from the port. Still though, I can't imagine I'll change my mind and like it better than 1, 3 and 4. That said, I know shit's about to hit the fan pretty soon so I guess I'll have to reserve judgment.
And re: maynardave's link, the actress who played Snoop was arrested during a huge drug bust like a year ago.
The final two episodes of Season 2 are on right now. Brother Mouzone just "represented the interests of Mr. Barksdale" to Cheese at the towers. Man he is so badass, love that guy.
No poop!? She sure didn't seem like an actor but damn Snoop.
Yeah, I know that is accurate. If I remember the story correctly, Michael K Williams (Omar) met her in a club one night. Basically, she impressed him so much that he lobbied to get her on the show.
An endorsement by Michael C. Williams. Yeah that would sure make the cut on the show. She might actually be my favorite in Marlo's crew. But they can't lift a finger on Stringer/Avon. Those are some smart badass motherfuckers.
On a side note, Wiliam's role as Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire is worth watching.
One of my favorite scenes of many amazing ones from Season 4: when DeLonda visits Wee-Bey in prison regarding Namond. "Yeah, well look at me up in here. Who the fuck would wanna be that (a soldier) if they could be anything else, DeLonda?"
One of my favorite scenes of many amazing ones from Season 4: when DeLonda visits Wee-Bey in prison regarding Namond. "Yeah, well look at me up in here. Who the quack would wanna be that (a soldier) if they could be anything else, DeLonda?"
That scene is great. Personally, I just liked to see her get shut up since she was so mean and overbearing with Naimon.
Yeah, she was awful. Awesome to see Wee-Bey give her her comeuppance. "You'll be alright, you'll be taken care of...But you gon' let go of that boy. You can bet that."
Just finished watching all the way through for the second time This has to be the greatest show ever made.
I'd have to rank the seasons 3>4>2>1>5. Season three was just too good with the whole Stringer and Avon relationship and all of the effects it had on West Baltimore. I was in awe after Stringer's death. I also loved the public education aspect that season four brought and the blue collar decay that season two showed. Frank Sabotka was definitely one of my favorite characters.
