Hrmph, once again I return after being gone for what felt like a long time, and practically nothing has changed! Anyway, sorry for disappearing. Some potentially exciting developments in Pepperland. ;D
I was so excited for a potential wordplay clue, but I don't much know what to do with it. Madeon is actually a decent guess, though.
Putting that aside for the time being, however, just for the sake of continuing discussion. I keep wanting "push in the IV" to mean inserting letters into one word to make another - either adding an I and a V, or possibly adding four letters, or something like that. And then...you would do something with vowels, presumably. Buuut that would seem so open-ended since there was nothing in the clue to hint at what the starting point for some word math like that would be.
Edit: Ugh, I so did not want to be the beginning of a new page!
alright, this is probably completely wrong, but im gonna try anyway haha. "Push in the IV. Follow the vowels to the coming of age" when i first saw IV i thought about dr00gz, heroin specifically, or "H" is what some people call it. Coming of age = puberty, and the vowels in that are U E Y Huey Lewis? ???
in latin, the letter V was used to pronounce a U sound. Also, during the middle ages V was the capital letter of U.
IV = I U Follow the vowels = A E I O U Push the (I U) = A E _ O _ Coming of age = young artist
m(A)d(E)(O)n
Madeon
Solved? Solved.
Pretty sure this is it. If you look at his sound cloud, he does a remix of the Killers song "smile like you mean it" which was the fourth single (in Britain) off their album.

Push in the IV; follow the vowels to the coming of age....
Here Goes
Follow the vowels to "the coming of age" so the vowels are e - o - i - a- e now, push the forth which could also mean remove, so now e - o - i - e R d H t Ch ll P pp rs
You guys seem super taken with this direction and I don't think that it's necessarily the right one... Has anyone considered the fact that "IV" may mean something along the lines of "independent variable?" This is an important aspect of psychology, and the "coming of age" part seems to point to something like developmental stages. This seems like it may point to TV on the Radio- They have a song called "Caffeinated Consciousness," which would tie into the psychology theme. The "coming of age" thing may speak to the transition from the radio to TV. The only part that doesn't seem to fit is the vowels part- can't perform the mental gymnastics to make that fit.
Anyways, even if this guess isn't right, we should examine a more scientific/psychological direction- Perhaps bands like Miracles of Modern Science or something like that?
Ok, so I may have missed a few posts but what about something to do with Lil' Wayne? He has an album called "Tha Carter IV" and it has him graduating on the front (which I think is coming of age).
I don't think it would be Lil' Wayne, but possibly someone that he has collaborated with?

Assuming you're right about the IV part...Check this out:
Vowels in the phrase "coming of age" = oioae Vowels in "TV on the radio" = oeaio

What do you think?
I'm still liking this thought process but I don't know where to go with it. Especially since IV has been confirmed to mean 4.
Yeah, unfortunately we're all so dumbfounded as to every single clue since we solved #1 that we're resorting to arbitrary ideas to convince ourselves we have it. I'm just as guilty as others.
For what it's worth, I think the Killers makes the most sense out of what we've got for this one. But at this rate there's no point in even trying since we're just a few weeks away from the lineup being announced. I don't see how we're going to figure any of these out considering how long we've already been at it!
The problem isn't that we aren't putting things together - we clearly are - it's that we haven't had much support from Gary due to his family situation. I'm obviously not begrudging him that, but to say "there's no point in even trying" is silly.
that was before i re-read everything and saw that IV = 4, not intravenously. Which would have made almost perfect sense for ATD-I, too.
ahhhh i see i actually thought them as soon as i read it too... but i think that been a knee-jerk reaction to me for every clue coming out so seeing someone else think it i was like "wait, maybe!!" in my head but no... oh well i think its pretty likely that cedric and omar will be at the farm in one form or another... fuck I'm off topic
I'm definitely exaggerating about not trying - I'm probably going to be thinking about them all the way until the lineup comes out. But it just seems absurd how we can't collectively figure out 5 straight clues.

Just had a thought - you guys think there's any chance the IV is referring to clue number four? Like maybe this is a crossword puzzle type thing where we can't solve this one until we have the previous one solved? (I hope not...)
