He is releasing a solo album in April and the first single is being released tomorrow. Jack needs to come back to the farm and play some motherfucking guitar.
This has serious potential if true. I remember a lot of sites confirming a solo album a few years back though so I'm not getting my hopes up until its in hand
It's live now. Your wish, Bacon, for a country album isn't too far off if this first single is any indication. Acoustic guitar with some B3 behind it. Digging it.
^^^^ I agree with itrain plus I dont see Jack doin two sets with two bands didnt he say somewhere when the stripes were still around and first racs album came out that its really hard for him to change the mind set from one band to another

Signed.
Make it happen. I don't care if AC/S didn't know about this until today either, they better call and make a deal by the 14th. They have a good working relationship, Jack has been to Bonnaroo plenty of times, not like he's difficult to work with.

With this news, I would consider the Racs very unlikely. Though, switching between Racs and Jack White solo (if this single is any indication) can't be as difficult as switching between White Stripes and Racs.

If Jack White were to play solo (Which I have a feeling he will), where do we think he ranks in terms of billing and where does he play? My first though is like top 15 playing before the Which closer? Like where Ray LaMontagne, Mumford and Iron & Wine played last year. Does that seem about right? Or is him solo big enough to close Which?
