If Jack White were to play solo (Which I have a feeling he will), where do we think he ranks in terms of billing and where does he play? My first though is like top 15 playing before the Which closer? Like where Ray LaMontagne, Mumford and Iron & Wine played last year. Does that seem about right? Or is him solo big enough to close Which?
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Doesn't matter. You telling me Dead Weather filled out the main stage because people just had to hear "Treat Me Like Your Mother"? Or because the drummer was JW?

Ya most likely true. Really all I wanted was something that wasn't as dark as The Dead Weather to be honest. That song was fairly happy for Jack. I like it.
Alright fair warning If this happens, I WILL be the very first person in the gate no questions asked. So if I happen to insult/maim any if you while waiting in line, I apologize in advance.

Jack won't be there when the gates open. But have fun waiting.

I like the song, but considering the crazy guitar solos that occurred even on Wanda Jackson's album and live show, I think he'll get down with it many times on this new record. I'm so happy you guys!

The song didn't do a lot for me, but it's decent. If it were coming from anyone else I would probably just spin it a few times and let it be. The real question is whether or not he'd play a few White Stripes songs if he does solo shows.

The only thing I have to go off of is that SXSW set he did outside his record van. I believe that was after White Stripes broke up, but perhaps I'm mistaken. And I know that's a big stretch, as that was a very informal thing. Just hoping he'll include a few WS tracks in his sets, as I never got to see them live due to Meg's breakdown. I deserve to see those songs to make up for the Ticketmaster fees I ate on those tickets haha.

He played "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" and it was after they broke up. That was the biggest thing I took from that performance. He strikes me as the kind of guy that would put those songs away for good, so I was very happy to see him play that.

I am late to the listening party -- but I love the new song. I was never really into dead weather, but love WS and Raconteurs. I am excited for the solo album and hope he is on the lineup.

Completely agree with this post.
I think he'll eventually play stripes songs live in a normal concert setting (and by eventually, I mean it could be a long time). The question is just how soon...
I just think that hes really specific about the entire sound of his band ..same reason he will rarely play a white stripes cover cause half the sound was his and megs chemistry....so if its actually a jack white set than it wont be the raconteurs playing back up. I wouldnt be surprised if it was Jack White and the third man house band

I am so excited about a solo Jack White anything (tour, show at Roo, album, single). I'm just so glad it's happening. I knew it would but I can't wait to see what he produces.
I got to be right up front for the 2 songs at SXSW and I just knew it was the closest I would ever get to seeing the White Stripes, but it was only one White Stripes song. I really hope he does play a couple and hope he plays 'roo. Here are a couple pics from the show www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.556307304301.2067476.76000638&type=3&l=74dffb9d8d . I also have video but there are goof ones on youtube already.
