I'm still torn on whether this means Jack is more or less likely for Roo. The last few years, Sasquatch and Roo haven't shared much of their top-three. For the last two years, Sasquatch top-three artists have not been at Roo in the same year. Last time it happened was NIN in '09.
I'm cautiously optimistic, but I think it is far from a lock.
Yeah, all of these mocks that have him on the 3rd line are a little unrealistic. If he is #1 at Sasquatch............
Being #1 at Sasquatch is a lot different 3rd line 10-15 seems about right for Bonnaroo
Interesting. This is only the 2nd year I have followed the festival scene so I will defer to your knowledge on this. As long as Jack is on the farm, I don't really care where he is billed.
he will rarely play a white stripes cover cause half the sound was his and megs chemistry. I wouldnt be surprised if it was Jack White and the third man house band
seems to me he just respects meg a bunch as a person and doesn't want to just outright replace her. it's a fine thing that he cares more about the people in his life than his music but it would take all of ten minutes for any competent drummer to take her place.

I don't think there's any way that he is less than 8th or 9th if he gets signed.. But I've been wrong before. I don't care if he's in the bottom line as long as he's on the lineup.

Well if he is headlining Hangout I may well have underestimated. I was working on the premise that he was not as big as say a MMJ. However they preheadlined hangout last year. If he is really top 3 at hangout I think he will be somewhere in the top ten.
It seems ridiculous to be booking him for all these big slots without a album though imo.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

True.. But if you go by past work, you have to put him near the top. He'll draw a ton of people based on that alone. I'm sure his new album won't disappoint though.

I'd say Jack White billed solo is bigger than say Tenacious D. What were they, 5 or 6 in '10. That was a weak year, but Jack would be a big draw to a lot of people.
It's like McCartney. He really has no great solo albums, but based on who the man is he gets top billing.
Well actually a few of his solo albums are pretty good, but McCartney plays mainly beatles tunes. I don 't think Jack is going to be busting out 7 nation army for us or anything.
I don't see why Jack White wouldn't bust out the White Stripes classics if he is headlining major U.S. festivals. That is what the people want to see. If it out of some loyalty to Meg White, I don't get it. If she doesn't want to perform anymore, why does that prevent him from playing some of the greatest songs he has ever written. I can understand why he wouldn't play White Stripes songs with the Raconteurs or Dead Weather, but not when he is being billed as simply Jack White.
