You're probably right. I love the Wings stuff. I guess I've never really listened to a McCartney solo record. I just remember the video with him and Michael Jackson riding on the back of a truck.
But on topic, I really hope Jack is at Bonnaroo. I don't think that they will miss this with him living so close and being a favorite of the festival scene.
When The Stripes disbanded, I thought we'd never hear Jack play those songs again. But at his SXSW secret solo show, he played Dead Leaves and The Dirty Ground acoustic. That's the only way I see him playing any Stripes songs: no backing band. He respects the dynamic Meg brought to the group too much to play those songs with anyone but her.

Wanda Jackson live was honestly as good as I've ever seen Jack regarding just guitar work, so if he gets just a couple of those backing guys, it should be great
"We are also very happy to announce that Jack will be performing at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend 2012 event, taking place in London, England on the weekend of June 23/24. While all tickets will be free, numbers are limited - registration for tickets begins at 8:15 am GMT on Monday, February 6th. www.bbc.co.uk/radio1"

Oh he'll be @ roo. I have no doubt. But as far as Stripe songs go, I wouldn't expect any. There will be a reunion one day because all that has to happen is Meg showing up. Not too complicated.
"All in all, the creative act is not performed by the artist alone.. the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act." -- Marcel Duchamp
definitely sounds like a natural progression for Jack White. The fiddle mixed with the piano and guitar riff is exactly what I would expect from solo Jack.

Just went and ordered the 7" of Jack's single as well as Neil Hamburger - Live at Third Man. Can't wait to get 'em. Really hoping that Bonnaroo gets Jack this year.
I hope he is back this year, I caught a glimpse of him last year standing backstage at the Karen Elson set. He was like 20ft away from me it was amazing, it was so cool to see him just being a normal person standing there enjoying the music, singing along.

Those 4 shows are the only reason why I'm hoping they are added. Maybe they didn't want to steal the thunder from those shows (2 are in Tennessee) and also Jack would be the biggest addition in a while IMO.
