Having unveiled the song for the first time ever during his March 3rd appearance on Saturday Night Live, "Sixteen Saltines" is now available to stream here. The 7" vinyl single for "Sixteen Saltines," featuring non-LP B-side "Love Is Blindness" (Jack's cover of the U2 classic), will be released on Tuesday, March 20th but you don't have to wait, pre-order your copy below.
I had the good fortune to get to see Jack in Chattanooga last Saturday night. Having seen him multiple times with the WS's, Racs, and DW; this was the best performance that I have seen him put on since the Willmington, DE performance in 2007. The guy was smoking on stage and I loved the subtle variation the all female band brought to so many of my favorite songs! It was also interesting to see Jack playing a telecaster. Anyway, like everyone else, I'm really hoping Jack is added as a late nite Which stage act.

All the new songs sounded great and he really took Ball and Biscuit and Cut Like a Buffalo to another level.
Was my 6th time seeing him between this and the other 3 bands. Nothing equals White Stripes but man this is pretty sweet. See them if you get the chance.

So I was fortunate enough to be able to see Jack last night at the new daisy in Memphis. As usual I did my research as to what he his playing on this tour, to get the vibe, etc.. After reading about the Chattanooga show, i expected something similar.... It wasn't. He played with an all male band, mixed the songs up quite a bit, added some, deleted some. Played - Dead leaves & Dirty Ground, Ball and Biscuit, Cut Like a Buffalo, seven nation army, two against one... No Love interruption, which I found odd.. and I'm still a little hazy this morning, so forgive me for forgetting tracks. The only thing that seems it will be consistent between shows is that he closes with Goodnight Irene...
2 thoughts about this, one.. wouldn't it be cool if he played two sets at roo, one with the female band and one with the male.. Same roo favorite, two different experiences.. (huge "if", i know, but it WOULD be cool!) two, no matter if he gets added to roo in any form, this tour is going to be a treat, seems like he's all in on this tour, I highly advise going if they come close to ya.
Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground, Sixteen Saltines , several new songs , Hotel Yorba, Cannon/John The Revelator, Two Against One, Cut Like A Buffalo, Seven Nation Army , Hank Williams, Hello Operator, Top Yourself, Steady As She Goes , Ball & Biscuit

Not sure if anyone noticed, but Lolla confirmed him with their "Love Interruption" banner. You can find it on timeoutchicago.com (and on the CTA if you live here). I feel like this makes him less likely to be added. Sad he won't be at Roo, but very happy to have him for Lolla.
I won't be convinced that he won't be there until the weekend of Roo. With late adds like Eminem in the past, I could totally see Jack getting added at any time. Maybe later today?

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
