That still doesn't crush any of my hope for Jack White
You're probably just remembering it weird or basing it off of some posts. Supposedly he was signed/secured late last year, meaning it wasn't until the week or so before the lineup actually came out that he was definitely going to play. Insider told us that the big rap act was being worked on close to the festival. Then they secured Eminem and he was on the initial lineup.
So sometimes people say "They got eminem last minute" or "they were able to add eminem" or something like that.
If you check out the latest tour dates released last week, Jack's last North American show is May 31st in Los Angeles. He doesn't go overseas till Jun 21st. His home is in Nashville after all, so I assume he will be in the vicinity during Bonnaroo. Does it not make sense he should play?
Iv done some research and found out that jack white will be playing bonnaroo this year by himself. Trust me, look it up on his website, Alabama shakes is who hes on tour with and they are already on lineup, + he has gab in his tour schedule for too between us and overseas, and he has been there in some way shape or form since 2007. Jack white on lineup for 2012!!!
I wonder how long we'll have to wait for a Jack White/Black Keys collaboration... It seems like something that COULD happen. The Black Keys were originally labeled a White Stripes knockoff when they first came on the scene, and they're both known for collaborating with other artists.
With all of the festivals that they're co-headlining, maybe there's a slim slim slim chance that we could eventually see a White/Auerbach guitar battle.

More like If Jay-Z can collaborate with Phish, I would say Auerbach and White doing something at some point is not that crazy.

On Sunday, Third Man Records announced that it released White’s newest single via helium balloons. One thousand flexi-disc records of White’s song “Freedom at 21” were attached to bright blue helium balloons and released from Third Man’s downtown Nashville headquarters on Sunday.
