Yeah I don't see it happening either. I've come to terms with that.
But this article just made me reconnect with some of my favorite songs by him. I thought I would share. The version of Blue Veins is incredible. It gave me chills from beginning to end

Jack White will kick off the release of his first solo album with a concert streamed live online, to be directed by Gary Oldman.
The show will be the first installment in the third season of American Express’ “Unstaged” series, which pairs top musical acts with renowned filmmakers. White’s concert at New York’s Webster Hall will be streamed live April 27 (9 p.m. EST) on VEVO, free of charge.
A few days prior, on April 24, White will release Blunderbuss, the first solo album from the former White Stripe.

Ikey Owens, the former keys player for The Mars Volta is supposedly working with Jack White now. He posted this picture on his facebook page from White's studio. Apparently White has his own wizard.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

Dunno....some popular acts get popular threads and sometimes get exceptions until we get them on the farm. The one Mars Volta thread lasted a while. There's the Neil Young one too. Haven't really thought about it too much.
The Jack White webcast goes down tonight, and YES it's going to be directed by actor Gary Oldman. Looks like a good time all the way, a live performance as part of the "Unstaged" concert series. Jack White’s “Unstaged” video goes online tonight, April 27 at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT. The show happens at the official Jack White VEVO page at www.youtube.com/user/JackWhiteVEVO/unstaged. “It just fell from the sky. Occasionally you get calls and they just drop in. I didn’t have to think very quickly about it. I just said, ‘Yeah, that sounds very good,’ ” said Gary Oldman to the NY Times about his chance to direct the webcast.
This is all being done up to support this week's release of the new Jack White Blunderbuss album, the biggest indie rock (sorry for the classification) release of the Spring and perhaps on of the biggest shows going this Summer. See the Jack White tour at music festivals like the Bonnaroo Music Festival, Sasquatch Music Festival; or you can check his recent performance on German TV, or the Jack White video for “Sixteen Saltines” or “Love Interruption.” In the meantime, plenty of yucks in the videos above as Jack White and Gary Oldman play out scripted hijinx made to look spontaneous (it's supposed to be UNSTAGED, after all) to promote the Jack White webcast. BE THERE OR BE ... there for the video replay.
Check out more by clicking on the five different "VIEW" links above to watch the five songs. For best playback performance, press the stop button on a video before watching a new one.
Could be a mistake.....could be a leak.....we'll know soon.
