Went to the show that Gary Oldman filmed in NYC, honestly it was the best set I think he could have played. Seeing him at the Ryman in a few weeks but I want him at the farm too!

so is jack white playing saturday pre HL and NYCH LN friday? or swap?
There have been other press release screw-ups, for instance, that one didn't have Jacks performance at Lolla listed. I'm going with the "copy writer made a mix up and nothing to see here don't get your hopes up" theory.
Alternative Superstar SuperJam feat. Jack White, Flea, Thom Yorke, and QuestLove.
Just watched the Unstaged performance. Amazing. I'm not going to believe Jack White will be at Bonnaroo. It's just too late in the process for it to be the case and I don't want to get my hopes up. However, I would really love someone to ask Bonnaroo why he's not there this year. I'd like to know if they tried to get him at least.
I'd love to be wrong, but c'mon guys, I really don't think this is happening this year. "Spacelab.tv" of all sites would not be breaking a leak. Probably just mixed up Lolla and Roo.
EDIT - Definitely mixed up Lolla and Roo, the author just confirmed it.

chances are that's what happened but it's fun to dream
I'm hoping once festival season passes and proximity clauses expire, we get some more Jack dates where he hits up markets he is passing by this time around. Maybe a little eastern run in the fall? Chicago, Boston, Philly...
Well good thing I just bought tickets to the Detroit show. Pretty excited about seeing him at a 1,500 capacity theatre and in his hometown. Since its in Detroit possibly a Meg appearance??.....doubtful.
Had to get them from a dirty scalper on stubhub....don't want to talk about how much I paid. I missed one of the last White Stripes concerts in Detroit in 05? so that is how I am justifying paying an arm and a leg.

I just want to say this and i'll go away....never again feed stubhub. We need them to die a slow and painful death.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
I'm assuming because it facilitates scalping and drives up the prices on tickets.
I agree that it sucks in some cases, and may have added to the scalping craze. The good part is if you really want to get tickets to an event, you can, and you know your not fake tickets. So if you have the money then you can get into any event you want.
Example: this Jack White show in Detroit. It's in a little theater that holds 1,500 people. Tickets sold out in 13 minutes and I had no chance at getting them. Instead of standing around trying to scalp tickets in a sketchy part of Detroit I know have my tickets. I may have been ripped off, but I have tickets at least!
If you have heard that someday you will only be able to buy tickets for yourself. You will have to show your ID at the door to get in or something, this will eliminate scalping for the most part. This is similar to what they do for the filming of the TV show Austin City Limits since they don't sell tickets.

I was at that show at the Masonic. Whatever you paid it will probably be worth it.
Also went to one of the Masonic shows in '05 -- best Stripes show I had ever seen, and one of my favorite concert experiences of all time. But I have tickets to the JW show on the 24th, and MAN, those prices on StubHub are insane. Pretty crazy that I could sell my pair to that show and pay for an entire trip to Roo and then some. I know it's going to be another once-in-a-lifetime show, and there's no way I'm selling, just nuts to think about.
Y'all take your Jack White seriously, I have seen him several times including the surprise White Stripes show in Nashville several years ago at a small bar, he has just never blown my mind.

Different strokes.
I'm a huge Jack White fan and am so excited to see his solo show in a few weeks.

I wasn't a huge fan until he made a surprise guest appearance during a Dylan show when Dylan played the Ryman in Nashville several years back. The energy & presence that Jack projected on stage was simply amazing & I've been a huge fan ever since.

I was there too.... fucking amazing. I followed the Third Man Rolling Record store in a van with a stranger to bayside, queens to get free tickets. But he didn't play ball & a biscuit/anything off the self titled album! So I have to see him again. Him not showing up at the farm just doesn't make sense

Yes, I got 2 of them for a little cheaper then they are now on stubhub. Cheaper then a trip or ticket to Roo, but it's definitely going to be fantastic.
I'm a little dissapointed that we only get to see one of his bands or the other (male or female) and think I would rather see the female band? Either way looking forward to it! Where are you sitting carsoni??
