I hope it's Childish Gambino. It makes sense that they would book somebody that could not only perform as a musical act, but also as a stand up comedy act.
With that being said, how does Childish Gambino fit the "another trip to space we wake"?
There was an episode of Community called "basic rocket science" that was a spoof of the movie Apollo 13 by having the cast get stuck into a flight simulator. You have the connection of last years clue that pointed towards Apollo 13.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Also it would be his second time at 'Roo, after last year

His new album did get a ton of attention. He might not be a Thursday caliber act anymore.
In Wes Anderson's "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou," we find ourselves in the wake of the Jaquar shark, a mythical sea creature speckled like a leopard. The adventure takes us down a bewitching path into the fanciful, innerspace of the ocean depths. Brazilian musician, Seu Jorge, performs several space-based Bowie covers.
Steve Zissou can be seen as being bewitched/obsessed by the idea of killing the shark as revenge for it killing his colleague. Since the creature lives in the depths, the path to him is "down," as we follow in his wake.

THIS! Pleeeeease let it be this! He's in the top 5 on my wishlist for this year. He was so amazing last year, and I would love to see him on a stage rather than a tent!
Edit: Just emailed JBo (CG's booking guy) to see if he can give me any details. Will update if I get anything...although I'm guessing I won't
I'm sticking with Neil Young & Crazy Horse. I don't think the "Community" reference ties strongly enough to the first part of the clue. At least not as strongly as the Neil references do.
Actually I re-read the logic for the speckled lad being archie, and I think the Gambino logic actually fits pretty well. Not sure if its the answer, though.
Having Neil Young and Crazy Horse would be huuuuuge. I don't see them giving that up in a clue. I could be wrong, but given the caliber of bands we have seen come from this so far I think Childish Gambino is more fitting. Not to say that Neil Young wont be there I just don't see him being the answer for this one.
This is the email I got back from JBeau (Gambino's tour manager)
I guess even if this isn't the correct guess for this clue (although I think it makes perfect sense), there's a good possibility we will see CG on the farm again!
;D ;D
p.s. why is this picture sooo tiiiny? My apologies!! Doing this at work limits my cropping/editing capabilities
Vincent van Gogh was a ginger, and painted Starry Night, which being at night would require wakefulness. His paintings are sometimes described as illustrating his path through madness. St. Vincent?

Roger Waters (Pink Floyd)
"In another trip to space we wake. A speckled lad leads us down a bewitching path."
"In another trip to space we wake" refers to the HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon." "From the Earth to the Moon" was co-produced by Ron Howard and Tom Hanks, who both had an important part in the movie "Apollo 13" (the reference from last year's hint). The score for the television series was done by Michael Kamen, who was one of few people invited to work with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and Roger Waters. "A speckled lad" refers to Judy Garland who walked down the yellow-brick road ("a bewitching path") in "The Wizard of Oz." The connection between "The Wizard of Oz" and Pink Floyd is "Darkside of the Rainbow."
On wiki "Darkside of the Rainbow" is described as "the pairing of the 1973 Pink Floyd album The Dark Side of the Moon with the visual portion of the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. This produces moments where the film and the album appear to correspond with each other."

Ah damn I feel like a moron, I had no clue. Was the logic behind the clues ever released? Is there any chance that the clues could be for groups that haven't yet been announced?
