Ugh...Seeing RHCP and Jack White at Hangout fest an hour away from my house. Seeing The Black Keys in NOLA for free tomorrow and saw them at Hangout last year. Who needs a ticket? ;p I'm not hating, chirruns...I'm just saying I would've rather blown that much potential cash on Coachella, but it's too late for that mess.
If I lived within a 7 hour drive of Chicago...I would go to Lolla, just to fuckin' go no matter who was playing.
I hear ya. I have floor tickets for Jack's show at the Ryman and I've seen RHCP and Black Keys plenty of times (1 too many for the former). I'm counting on a solid undercard. Sabbath would be fantastic, too (even if they're 30 years past their prime).

Yeah, I'd rather see them with a zombie version of Dio singing than Ozzy, but if that's the only way I will ever get to see them...I will hate myself for not doing it. I know there's no way it would top the Judas Priest show we saw in December, but it would at least help justify buying a plane ticket and burning 2-3 vacation days.
I really hope we're in for a big surprise like "Sorry, Black Sabbath fell through due to Tony Iommi's health and Bill Ward's contract. But we talked some dude named David Bowie into playing Lolla. problem?" I'd prolly shiit myself...then sell a bunch of stuff to buy a VIP ticket.
Wow, saying someone's opinion is worthless while simultaneously fluffing Kanye. SELF'D!
That gayfish is such a posterboy for what's wrong with the record industry. Keep drinking the kool aid brah.
Sabbath with Dio over Ozzy???! Blasphemy!! Masters of Reality pisses on Dio era Sabbath. Ozzy is still cool, saw him at Voodoo '10. He would be 100x better with the original band.... Iommi & Ward are the main reasons I want to see OG Sabbath lineup though.
You're talking material and I'm talking live talent. Dio was a better vocalist than Ozzy. He could sing Ozzy's stuff fine...Ozzy will never be able to sing Dio's stuff. But yeah, I just wanna see the original lineup because I never had the chance to. Did you know Rob Halford played a couple of shows singing for Black Sabbath? '92 and '04

At what price level did you buy your ticket and are you going to be selling it for that price when Black Sabbath isn't on the line-up.
$237 regular pass + Collectible Credential option Imma decide what I'm gonna do after the lineup drops. I would like to get what I paid for it, but I might go a little cheaper.

Any idea how long tickets will take to sell out? Does Lolla usually sell out? Bonnaroo is my festival of choice but I've wanted to do Lolla for years, and depending on the lineup and my employment situation this summer I may try to hit both.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Does anyone have a complete-ish list of all the #lolla ads all over Chicago? I keep seeing them on buses, but my memory is shit and I can't remember them to write them down before the bus pulls away.

Twin Shadow too. I wonder if Gotye will be there with Kimbra. He could be this year's Foster the People (an act on a stage that's way too small for the crowd the act attracts to hear one song).
Alright so a friend and i are really considering this. The hotel issue is what is making myself tentative. Obviously the earlier you book the cheaper it is, but what do you think is the general price for hotel's at this time, what should i look to be spending?
