poop. If this is the lineup I need to go again this year. Crosses? quack yeah Been dying to see Beck Ya'll can hate all you want but Skrillex feat Korn would be a unique and fun show Then Metallica, AtDi, Bassnectar, Knife Party... I'm sold. I hope this is true.
Then again I kind of hope it isn't because holy crap did lolla put a dent in my wallet
When do they normally drop the official lineup? May?
Also, when does the earlybird surprise sale normally happen?

This is what has been the trend for the big lineup announcements:
Pitchfork Music Festival:
First announcement is the early/mid March (they announce the headliners and a handful of other acts) Then they usually make another announcement 2 or 3 Fridays after that and then maybe one or two more.
Lollapalooza:
Early/Mid April
Outside Lands Music Festival (San Fran):
Mid/Late April
Austin City Limits:
Last year it was announced in early/mid May. Might be different this year because its happening in October this year as opposed to September.
Treasure Island Music Festival:
Mid/late July.
Moogfest:
Handles it like Pitchfork. Makes its initial lineup in early June and then adds bands every few weeks.
I have no industry sources or anything, but a couple thoughts:
* Bjork
She is doing a lot of festivals for Biophilia all over the world but hasn't signed for anything in US/Canada. She is free on the Lolla dates dates and she is already doing Lollapalooza Chile. I'd be really surprised if she doesn't hit up at least one US festival.
* Justice
New album, Chicago got inexplicably snubbed on the tour dates
* Kraftwerk
Maybe? Already hitting Ultra Music and doing a residency in NYC
* Sigur Ros
Waking up from a long break, already announced a few European festivals
Ok I'm trying to get to the bottom of this lolla leak twitter thing.
The first few headliners were leaked by lollaleaks
the longer list was leaked from thelollaleaker
I also read that the lineup was accurately leaked last year. Was it by one of these guys? If so, which one?
I'm getting all excited but have a feeling I'm being trolled so hard.
Lollaleaks is new this year.
Previously all thelollaleaker has done, I believe, was tweet last year when the $60 tix were going on sale, which was already somewhat public knowledge.
Here's a summary of the leaks this year taken from the Lolla board for those playing along:
thus far,
@lollaleaks:
Beyonce Metallica Beck The Killers Red Hot Chili Peppers Sonic Youth (final show)
Sleigh Bells Antlers Passion Pit Wales OFWGKTA At the Drive-In Garbage Missy Elliott Korn Das Racist HEALTH Tune-Yards Shabazz Palaces Yacht The Big Pink They Might Be Giants Wild Flag Girls
Perry's: Justice Chromeo Bassnectar
@thelollaleaker:
No Doubt Sonic Youth (final show)
1/4: Refused, Pulp, fIREHOSE, or Mazzy Star The Shins M83 Joan Jett & The Blackhearts Gotye St Vincent Surfer Blood Kimbra Real Estate Crosses Sleigh Bells Bombay Bicycle Club Mac Miller Band of Skulls Sigur Ros
Perry's: Bassnectar Korn ft. Skrillex MIA
Calvin Harris Flux Pavilion Wax Mord Fustang Knife Party
Bassnectar, Korn ft. Skrillex, MIA, Calvin Harris, Flux Pavilion, Wax, Mord Fustand AND Knife Party???
FUCK! That alone would get me to Lolla! Hope to god this leak is real!!! They even have an overnight MegaBus outta Nashville now that would get me there for like $10!

What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

last year $60 tix went on sale march 31, but it always changes. It's a secret sale- you gotta be lucky. I'm making my homepage lollapalooza.com and checking daily.
I'm going to drop hope and give up any creedence to any of these leakers. I don't buy it. But if it's true, I'm so there.

It's an awfully long way from Chicago to Oslo. I don't see her making that trip with her whole set-up with less than 5 days to travel.

I would feel obligated to make this happen if they really do pull the final Sonic Youth show, plus either At the Drive-In or Refused. But I'm still skeptical.
They randomly, without announcement, put a link on their website for $60 tickets and as soon as they sellout its done with?
I think I got an email or something, but you've got to be on that or you'll miss out.
Maybe you should lurk the lolla board.
Last year they sent an email notifying the week the $60 tix would be on sale, but then it's up to you to keep checking the website. They won't officially announce when they're on sale.
On the morning of the day they went on sale last year, Perry tweeted once or twice alluding to the fact that they were going on sale, without actually saying it.
But yeah, the Lolla board would be a good resource to stay in touch with the sale.
All that said, even if you know when they go on sale, you have to be extremely lucky to get them. They literally sell out in minutes.

Perry is all over the internet denying that line up. He had a battle with Lollaleaks on twitter and I think he has even done an interview with Spin or NME or someone like that denying everything. So only time will tell...
Me too laggy. I was reseraching hotels right next to Grant Park and ALMOST pulled the trigger on one! I couldnt find anything less than $180/night though for 3 nights (Fri,Sat,Sun) and they wanted a full night + tax as a deposit. $200 on top of the bonnaroo ticket today was too hard to do
EDIT: However if anyone would like to go ahead and pair up I would be more than willing to go halves on reserving a hotel room today.

I went with a friend last year who was kind of picky about our hotel accommodations, and we ended up staying at the congress. It's the best value for luxury and location for sure, and I would reccomend it.

I did the search for those particular nights and those are the prices expedia gave. Possible they're more but I guarantee it's the cheapest within 2-5 miles of the festival. I researched pretty thoroughly last year
looks like its still $75/night. i just called them to reserve the room and i got a voicemail of some guy talking in chinese lol. this seems sketchy. and the reviews online are HORRID. but it is cheap as hell.
