Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Remember that if it stays the way it is now, we will continue to mod out the filter workarounds when we see them.
See, like that....

It has to stay quack, leno, smurf, etc. These words are regularly used by inforoosters in RL conversations. And it's hilarious
I do enjoy when some of them change from time to time.
Yeah, the issue seems to be that people are upset because they are losing cred against other festival forums where they can curse. I always thought the inforoo way of doing it was lighthearted and fun. Part of it is to take the sting out of someone losing their temper and calling someone else a fucking moron. It is hard to stay irritated that way. Obviously we need something, but asterisks are sillier than our alternatives in my opinion.
Honestly if people can not get their point across without cursing they should probably just be rethinking their point not worrying about looking like a sissy in front of the coachella board.

To be honest I really don't care that we have a filter. I hardly ever go on a rant if at all. Plus I think just calling someone stupid or a moron is just as effective as trying to be crafty with your curses when calling someone out.

I'm not concerned about the Coachella board (or any other fest board for that matter), I'm not a member there.
It's not even an issue of wanting to be able to curse. I just don't like that the filters render posts into nonsense oftentimes. With the asterisks, the original intent of what the person is trying to say is more clear, especially to people who don't read the boards as often. That's all. There is none of the maliciousness behind this that you're ascribing to it.

I was just thinking that maybe the hipsters were wanting to take the fun out of the profanity filter. I learned recently that hipsters are allergic to fun.
