Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Just dont forget an EZUP to go over your tent and a tarp on the side the sun rises. Please god do not forget this. It will make or break your weekend.
I'm with Phi on this one. The morning sun is the least pleasant thing about the whole weekend. When you're setting up camp, give some thought as to how your tent is oriented to the east.
Also, as I say in every thread like this one, bring Gold Bond.
ya- i hear gold bond is a hot commodity(sp?) that- and baby wipes. I'll be sure to bring both, thanks!! ;D
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Welcome to all the new peeps. Its an often overlooked piece of advice that I don't see on here much. Roo is amazing but also a marathon. When you are home, no one else is around, and its hotter than hello.. Do you put on your favorite comfy's with little else? Bring your comfy's!! Especially for the women. Makeup melts off in an hour in that heat. Looking awesome hot is great - but a challenge at roo if you are not used to the heat.. bring the minimum.. Bring your comfy's!! Get over being in camp with them on really fast.
Get lost at some point, don't go everywhere with your friends, talk to strangers.
I love this advice and second it. Everyone was so friendly that I encountered, whether it was in Centeroo or neighbors. Our neighbors were more than happy to help us out and to think, if none of us broke the ice we wouldn't have met some long term friends.
This year is my second time to Bonnaroo. I traveled from Detroit last year with my best friend, her co-worker, and a gal we met on here. This year I'm either going solo or hoping to meet up with some new pals!

Stay as healthy as possible. Start now, eat good every day get all your vitamins and minerals and exercise. Build up your endurance now!! You will be ready to kick ass by June. I know all you people say taking energy shots will be good but I think that is a terrible way to go about it. As far as drinking, know how your body handles alcohol. Know how to drink before you fuck yourself up and ruin the rest of your day/night whatever. When you are through with your drinking session lie down!! Don't smoke out to even the comedown off the alcohol, so many do this and it is plain stupid. When you need sleep pop a couple Xanax and you will get your sleep. That really is the only way to sleep, and you will sleep good.
I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.

I went solo last year and this really is the best advice. Just talk to strangers! It's a lot of fun.

It's funny you say this, because the 2 friends I'm going with( I think it's their 4th year??) started a couple days ago like- "we gotta start eating right and sh*t! We gotta get ready" and I'm like really? now? it's like 3 months away? But it makes perfect sense!
When I first found out about Roo- there was something like 140-150 days until, and now its 103! which means it'll be here in NO time, and I gotta start getting ready. good post!
I remember seeing the videos of people's tents and stuff getting blown allll around like- what? 2 years ago? maybe 3? I can't remember.. but ya- good idea

3rd roo for me but first time in an rv. Looking forward to sleeping past 7 30 after staying up till 6. My advice is if you have time make it to the dollar garlic grill cheese stand on shakedown. You won't regret that. So good. I'm a fair skinned Texan so if you need any help with the sun/heat I'm a pro. Like everyone said large hats and lots of sunscreen are your best friend. Utilize the tent stages when your watching someone there and take advantage of the ac in the sports bar and cinema tent if you need a break from the heat. As always tons of water. Camelbaks are also your friend.
