Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I looked at my points history, and it looks like December 2014 (~3k), january 2015 (~3k) and March 2015 (~3k) were the big months for points. But this year, December was only ~2k, and there were way fewer points for all the roo clues. I'm really hoping I can get enough points to cover a ticket this year after this lineup drop, especially with fewer opportunities for big point grabs (no handbills, only 1 poster run for PHX).
Anyone think there will be enough opportunity between now and the Festival. Im at 5000 points now.
There are not as many social media opportunities for points this year as there has been in the past. You'd probably need to pick up hand billing or a poster run to be on the safe side.
2017: 2/24 Twenty One Pilots 4/1 Radiohead 6/7 Glass Animals 9/10 Modest Mouse 9/21 Arcade Fire 9/29 Kings of Leon 10/3 Foster the People 10/17 The xx 10/22 LCD Soundsystem 11/8 Bon Iver
dumb question, but can you purchase tickets to any other ac fests other than bonnaroo with the points?
Yup. I have gotten Bonnaroo, Big Ears and Forecastle passes before. The other festivals are a little cost point wise. You can also get tickets to shows at a couple venues in Knoxville, Nashville, Asheville and Atlanta.

If I start now, do you think there's enough time to post and gain enough points for a free ticket?
probably if you do a poster run or two, but if not, i'm not sure there will be enough orders for you to get enough points solely off of those.
Thanks for the quick response! What part of Bama you in? I"m right above Montgomery...noticed that you went to Sloss last year....GREAT time for a first year fest, already have tix for this year. Are you going?

no problem!! north alabama! about an hour and a half from sloss! it was a blast! i was really pleasantly surprised by it! loved the setup and was surprised that a small(ish) alabama fest could be so much fun!! don't have my tickets yet, but definitely will be purchasing if the lineup is as good as last year's!

where do the poster runs usually take place? i'm hoping to do one or two in st. louis if they are available. but this is the first time i've done street team so i'm not totally sure where they occur.

I want to say that there has been one in St Louis in previous years. If not, you may be able to message the community manager and talk them into it as St Louis has a pretty good sized population and is within a reasonable distance of Bonnaroo.

thanks for the info. i'll definitely look into it since i feel like there's enough of a contingent from the stl area to warrant a poster run.

i can't remember, did they do passes for wayhome last year?

This is what makes me nervous. I live in a town ,like 2 hours away from DC so no real poster runs available for me. This means I have to solely rely on Social Media posts. Im at 5000 points now so I am hopeful I can make it.

I don't believe so. I never looked seriously at it though.

Snag a run for DC! Shit, snag two, make a day trip out of it, and have a fun time essentially getting paid $380 to explore new areas of the city.

I haven't seen a DC run on there. Where do I go look?

They haven't posted them yet. They'll probably be up in March I think. Might be wrong about that. I remember there being runs for Philly and Chicago and New York, so I'd be surprised if there wasn't one for DC.

Sweet. I am new to the party and started Social Media posting in November. Wasnt sure if social media alone would get me to the point threshold

Have you been doing every order? How many points do you have right now?
I've been expecting a lineup party order or something concerning the lineup... but nothing yet. Maybe we'll get something tomorrow??
Last year the lineup parties were planned in advance. I think our "Lineup drops next week on Conan!" posts are pretty much all we're gonna get. Maybe a "Tonight's the night" post tomorrow. I'm not expecting much.
And yea nashcar I think you'll need to do a poster run to get enough for one of this year's tickets.
Damn! Well as long as there is a DC poster run I should be able to do it. What all do you have to do for a poster run?
Hang up 100 posters around the city - cafe bulletin boards, record store windows, etc - and get proof (a picture) for 25 of them (I think - might have been more). One poster run is worth 8,000 points. A ticket is 16,000 points.

DAMN!! That would help tremendously! I take it after the lineup drop those should start popping up?

No they didn't.I was debating going to the fest last year because a friend lives close by.
I remember doing a poster run when it was cold as hell here in Nashville last year, so I feel like it had to have been in February. We should see poster routes posted soon.
Also, there's been a big decline in the amount of social media posts it seems, so if you're not close to 16,000 by now I would look into getting a poster run. Last year for the Roo clues, we would get an order for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This year it was only Instagram. And there was a lot to get points with regarding BLAM. Nothing this year so far.

They just posted one new order but it's for all 3 social media platforms. Maybe they'll start having orders for Facebook and Twitter again. Fingers crossed.
