So the colleges are cool with strangers hanging up a bunch of posters?
I've never had an issue but DePaul which is one of the routes has signs on all bulletin board saying you can't hang anything that isn't approved. A lot of their buildings are secure and you need an ID to get in which was sort of an issue. I just tried to blend in with the hip college kids and have never been bothered.
Thanks for the advice everyone. I remember when I went to college all flyers and poster had to be approved on my campus. Didn't know if AC had some agreement with these colleges or what have you.

I postered Belmont a couple years ago. You indeed are supposed to have approval to put them up. When I talked with someone in the office of student affairs, it was some BS about a Belmont grad must be involved in the event you are postering for? Anyway, I went ninja and put them up all over the place anyway.

"Didn't snag a poster run? Worried about how you're going to earn that free ticket to Bonnaroo 2016?
Exciting news! Tomorrow at 12 noon EST, we will be announcing the new Bonnaroo Ambassador Program. Through this program, you will have an additional chance to earn a free ticket + cool upgrades by bringing your friends to the Farm!
Don't worry- this will NOT be replacing Fancorps in the immediate future. We WILL be having a second poster run for Bonnaroo.
Stay tuned to Bonnaroo’s socials for all the details + link to sign up. Hope to see you there!"

hmmm... interesting. i hope it's not just ticket referral links because that shit is lame and it gets spammed everywhere.
That sucks. Hope they have Street Team next year still because if I'm going to Bonnaroo again I'm going to need it. It does sound they're switching away from it though. Float Fest has an "ambassador" program too that is basically posterity for rewards, but I don't know much else about it other than that it exists.. Could be worth looking into.
"Immediate future" means enjoy it while you can because this won't be happening next year. Ugh why?!
Yep, pretty concerned about that. I don't know why they would say immediate if they didn't plan on scrapping the program eventually. Crossing fingers though, the ST has been the only reason I've been the past 4 years
it looks like thats they way things are headed. this is the company that set up the bonnaroo ambassadors website/does all the back end stuff. and they are already associated with a ton of festivals.
Hmm. If they do away with the street team, who is going to hang posters & share all the social media hype? I truly can't see myself "selling" bonnaroo tickets.

They can count me out right now. I'm fine with social media promotion and even hanging posters, but I hate programs with affiliate links like the Bonnaroo Ambassador bullshit. My friends are old and either don't go to festivals or know how to find the damn Bonnaroo website themselves without me sending them a completely self-serving link. The poster runs allow people to help get the word out without being pushy with friends and family. I thought we did valuable work.
I can take indirect credit for about 25 tickets sold over 6 years but 8 more per year just ain't happening. Maybe we should just spam all the Inforoo noobs with our links? Yeha, that'll be great.

Well, with this new change I guess that means I'm going this year. I was thinking about taking this year off, but I'm not going to let my points go to waste

I'm going to be curious to see if they do eventually shut Roo out of the AC Street Team if AC will keep it going for Forecastle, Wayhome, Sloss, and all of their other non-LN related ventures. They'll still lose a ton of people, but I might keep doing the social media posts in that case just to keep the free Marathon/Track 29 shows flowing.

Ew, I don't want to sell anyone anything. I hope our street team points don't evaporate if the system is replaced next year, because I definitely can't go this year and I've earned those things by spamming the heck out of my friends, dangit!

In other news,
"Hey Team,
It's time to announce the first Forecastle poster run of 2016!
All markets will become available in the Supplies section of the Rewards store TOMORROW Wednesday, February 10 at approximately 12PM EST. The markets will be listed under '*Forecastle 2016 Poster Run #1 (Markets)'
Head over to the Forecastle forum for more details!

That's a good point. If they take away Bonnaroo it would at least be nice to use our points towards other AC Entertainment festivals/local shows. I feel like there would be an uproar (mainly from us-ha!) if they were to just let our points disappear after months of hard work.

depending on what happens with our points, I wonder if signing up for poster runs is even worth it for me. I have enough for this year's ticket (assuming it stays 16k points) which I'm selling to Grump. But I was going to try for poster runs to earn points for next year's ticket.

I'm not quite at the ticket mark, but also not feeling motivated anymore.
I've got enough for a ticket for this year and I'm only 4,000 away for a free ticket next year if they stay at 16,000. If those points just go away I will definitely be pissed.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I'm in the same boat. I'll definitely be cashing in all my points this year and giving the 2nd ticket away instead of potentially wasting the points
Anyone with enough points wanna help me out if I fall short? I'm at 12k for this year so far. Last year there were poster runs for Phoenix and Tempe, and this year neither (nor ASU). And it isn't looking like there will be 4k more social media opportunities.

can you transfer points to another user? i'm sitting at around 8000 once i finish these new orders. if i don't get any poster runs i doubt i'll make it either, but i'll probably use my points for forecastle if i get enough. either way, once it gets closer and i have a better idea i'd be totally willing to send you some points.
snagged a st. louis forecastle poster run! yaaaaaaaay. but i got too excited/went too fast and forgot to include my shipping address in the purchase. i immediately sent a reply to my order confirmation message with the address tho. do you think they'll accept this or am i shit outta luck
I'm pretty sure I asked one time about transferring points and was told no. But it doesn't hurt to ask again. And here's another plug for QSAROO. We would be glad to take any tickets we can get.
