Fitz & The Tantrums: 9/23 Pensacola, FL @ Deluna Festival
Also JB just posted saying The Walkmen are touring w/ Florence & The Machine, playing 9/21 - Warehouse Live - Houston, TX, 9/22 - Tipitinas - New Orleans, LA, 9/26 - Variety Playhouse - Atlanta, GA... Don't know who they are, but it seems they might be added and playing on 09/23. Only speculation though...
I sent The Walkmen's agent an e-mail yesterday asking about this. I was going to see the likelihood of maybe booking them at AMB for that monday or tuesday assuming that they were getting added to DeLuna for sunday, but told him that I wasn't sure that we could justify it unless we could get them based on a $10-12 ticket price since they are playing both nola and p'cola. That show would more than likely bomb in Mobile...we'd lose money like a mawfawka on the monday night after DeLuna. I really just wanted him to write back and say "yeah, they'll be at DeLuna sunday...fuck no they ain't playin Mobile monday for a $10 ticket price when Bottletree in B'ham is in the process of getting them for $15 a ticket." He hasn't wrote back yet, so I think it's pretty safe to assume that that is true though. Garageland said that they were his second favorite set at gotdamn Primavera, so I imagine they put on a hell of a show.

Good call... Especially after how the last two years went down, I'd hate to throw money down the drain and then they announce a BOGO on the ticket sales again... VIP you drink free right? Or at least cheap?

I wouldn't hold my breath on BOGO tickets again. I don't see Pearl Jam or Foo Fighters pulling out the week before the festival. DeLuna has had some bad luck though, so who knows. It could happen.
Not expecting anyone to drop off, or to get a BOGO, just trying to get my cheap ticket off cragislist. VIPS were goin for $200 before the fest last year but I already had earlybirds.
VIP has unlimited booze and an excellent front row pit, it goes across the whole stage. I kinda dislike that as GA fest goers should at least have a chance to be in the front.
I'm guessing that we'll get the rest of the lineup the week of June 18th after Bamajam is over. I'm positive that is holding things up with Zac Brown Band being announced because Enterprise, AL is only like 2 and a half hours away from Pensacola.

Very true, that's a good call, they obviously thought this year out a helluva lot more than the previous ones.

I would expect maybe Refused to get added. OFF! (the band opening for them on their tour) is playing DeLuna. X too, since they've been tagging along with Pearl Jam for their Latin American tour last year and their European tour this year.
I'd love for Refused to be added, but I find that one unlikely. Their tour with OFF! ends just before DeLuna and they just announced a 3 west coast dates with Sleigh Bells after that tour. It is possible though. I missed most of X's set at Voodoo last year, so I wouldn't mind them being added.
They pretty much gave away the third headliner yesterday. Or at least verified to us that it was ZBB. Gov't Mule is playing in the background of that picture. I could see them being an addition.
Aw man I would fuckkin love to see Mule on the beach again....that Thorazine Shuffle at sunset first Hangout was one of the best moments of the fest for me.
Astronautalis is not all that great. Seen him before... one of those cases where the name of the act/band is better than the music.
Overall I would say that set of adds is prettttty weak! No Gov't Mule!! Looks like I'ma be daypassin' it.
I'm a little disappointed by the lack of additions, but also very relieved. My schedule for this fest is stacked already,and sacrifices will have to be made.
I'm perfectly satisfied with my $100 early bird dicket and this lineup. I like this lineup more than hangout's from this year. Now, if only I can score a cheap vip pass somehow...
