Origilio is not open to the public for purchase (they sell to businesses) unless it is something new but down the street is place called the craft beer outlet which has a nice selection of Canned beers and growler fills
Is anyone aware of the the keg policy? I've got a few homebrews going, I could easily put one in a cylinder keg, which is slightly more in volume than 2 cases but there will be 3+ of us in the car, but I'm not sure how well it'd go over bringing that in. There's no glass, and it's under the limit for beer, but it seems like a faux pas. Anyone have some insight?
I bring mini kegs every year. Bury them in gear, just to be safe.

I am going to be coming from Tampa and will bringing Cigar City cans right from the brewery with me to the farm. They can all their year round beers. I will have a variety of Jai Lai IPA , Maduro Brown Ale, Florida Cracker Belgian Wheat, and Hotter than Helles Lager. I look forward to swapping some quality craft cans with some new friends.

Rivertowne brewery (east of Pittsburgh) just recently started canning and I'm going to try to bring a few of their variety packs to trade with some folks. All the beers are very good, but they have a pineapple beer that is one of the strangest things I've ever had (in a good way).
Do we have a time/place that this trading can take place? The brunch? Or is this like 95% of planned bonnaroo activities and will just evaporate and be forgotten as soon as we hit the farm?
If we are doing this I'm in. I'll look around NC and see what I can bring. Yes, Carolina Brewing has cans and we now have Oskar Blues here. Aviator and Mither Earth brewing also can and I think I saw some Shiva from Asheville brewing. I would definitely be interested in trying those that i cant get in NC like Cigar City. Aside from when and where, how much are we bringing to trade?

I don't know what their deal is with kegs, but I have a Peace Coffee Stout going right now that I plan to bottle in PET Bottles should I manage to make it to the farm this year. They are typically used for brewing soda, but I have heard people have success with bottling beer in them.
Also, I haven't seen anyone from Minnesota mention Surly:
I'd say Brunch might be the easiest way to do this. Or the hardest. And I'd say just bring as much as you want.
Haha, that's exactly what I was thinking. I'll just plan on bringing about 12 good beers for trading and a case of normal beer to the brunch and we'll see what happens. The Rivertowne brewery beer I plan on bringing includes their lager, wheat, blonde, ipa, and their popular pineapple ale(might actually be a lager, I don't remember)

How strict is the 2cs per person enforced? I am starting to pull together my collection of cans I want to bring with me and I can already tell that I am going to go over. I am most likely going to driving alone but that can possibly change. I dont think its going to be problem unless I have the back of my car absolutely loaded. I figured I will have a case outside of the cooler and have the rest loaded on ice already. I dont think they are going to start counting. There is no way I can drink that much anyway. I mostly would like to trade and share. Maybe bring back some trades that I am not able to get here.
We all should try to get some kind of plan going on meeting up for a tasting/trade/get together now that we are getting closer to the fest. Some mentioned before on arranging that around the brunch on friday. I think that sounds like the best plan.
Since its my first time out on the farm and mostly lurker on this board I am pretty confused on how brunch will go down. It sounds like tent only inforoo camp is going to happen still regardless. I have a good feeling that the inforoo community will be pretty easy to find to find on the farm!

We should meet up at brunch and enjoy the festivities then move on to another area to do our thing. I think if we all wore brewery shirts it would be a good way to identify each other
So here is an idea. lets hear who is game for this: Don't change Plan area. Copy this text and keep updating. Add your suggestions below. Add the brews your going to bring with your user name.
Plan: Meet at 11AM (Central Time) Friday and Saturday Morning under the shade of the clock tower. Bring your cans and everyone can trade up. Bring a chair if you want and folks can sit around and share a brew or two to get the day started.
Suggestions: Bring Local Quality Micro Brews, avoid the ones we all can get (i.e. Seirra Nevada - Pale Ale, New Belgium - Fat Tire)
Bringin to the Party: itzjerm - Straight to Ale (Alabama), Good People (Alabama), Tall Grass (Kansas)
Ok found this guys post. Sounds like a pretty solid plan to me. Even though I dont know where the clock tower is at yet!

i am still, however, ok with changing this from the clocktower to the brunch. we'll just yell BEERCAT, and respond with CHUG CHUG CHUG instead of the typical brunch call and response

I think its going to be tough to be able to trade in quantities, seriously how much can you lug around with you? I think friday would be good for a tasting and meeting. We should bring cups to split cans for sampling. Then from there work out the trades. Bring what you can but may need to work out details with who you decide to trade with.
I was imaginin' this as kinda a pot-luck deal. Bring what you want to trade, personally I'm lookin' to bring six to twelve beers to trade. The clock tower isn't a bad meet-up point, but I still think Brunch will be easier. That way we can have our own little sub-meet and still mingle amongst the throngs of the Inforoo crowd.
Friday at 11 I will be at brunch which also near the clock tower, I could do Saturday though. I will also have some special bottles I have been cellaring we can drink on.

Bottles eh? Pretty daring! Got me thinking... I may try to smuggle in a Hunahpu. I would be pretty disappointed if it was confiscated though

I agree brunch might be easier. I'm up near Philly. Are there any bears from my area that anyone would like? I still haven't decided on what to get and am still trying out some canned beers. I'd be very interested in purchasing any Heady Topper if anyone from Vermont is reading this! Also, if anyone from the West Coast is reading this, just PM me haha, but I know those people are few and far between.
I'll be bringing about 12 cans of local Chicago brews. Probably some some stuff from Half Acre, Revolution, and ill see what else I can pick up in cans. Maybe some Goose Island.

i think we should settle on the brunch then... we'll all just have to figure out a way to recognize one another. i might be able to get some Church, and Fat-Head (both Pittsburgh) beers too, but ill have to try and smuggle them in because of the glass.
as far as keeping them cold goes... thats the age old question.. i might just keep a small cooler specifically for trading brews, seal it up with some extra duct tape, and hope that ill work until the brunch.
I'd definitely love to do this and bring some Resurrection or other local Baltimore/Maryland craft beers.
Natty Boh!
Ah man, you're from the DC area. You've got a Mingus avatar. And you're going to see FJM at 9:30. I thought we were going to be really good friends - until I saw this Natty Boh thing.
I just want to know who can get me a sixer of Heady Topper, there will be a reward involved that would make anyone happy. For the record I have some high gravs I have been cellaring since 2009.
