I couldn't resist any longer, and bought most of our beer over the weekend.
Ska - True Blonde Revolution - Rosa (Hibiscus) Bell's - Oberon summer seasonal Tallgrass - 8-bit Half Acre - Gossamer Half Acre - Daisy Cutter Goose Island - 312 wheat Two Brothers - Sidekick Laka Laka - Pineapple Hefeweizen Anderson Valley - 128 Gose (haven't tried this one yet) New Belgium - Shift Leinenkugel - Summer Shandy (very popular with my gf and the group) Miller Lite (my sister has never had micro brews, so just as a back up)
We are going to be camping with or near the inforoo camp, and I will be at the brunch with some beers, but if y'all want to have a more beer share specific meet up, I'm game.
I'll have 2 tables, 2 chairs, and a backpack cooler full of beer to share.
Id love to bring some proper English ale along, however what with the flying will not be able to. If I manage to find anywhere in Tennessee, I'll bring some along, as it tastes ok warm!
Deep Ellum Brewery and Armadillo Ale works are great Texas beers available in cans, but isn't it illegal to transport beer across state lines?
It may technically be illegal but I don't think this is the kind of thing the authorities are worried about. Unless you're running moonshine or trying to re-sell beer, I don't think they will notice. I have flown and driven with all kinds of beer from all over the country. We aren't the droids they're looking for.
Founders Centennial IPA and Founders All Day IPA are both canned. and both are excellent
Founders just started distributing in Tennessee! I just picked up a twelve pack of the Centennial IPA in cans. Will definitely be my go to beer at Roo.

Further adding to this:
- I live in a town which borders two other states. There will be advertisements in local papers for liquor stores in all three states. Out of state traffic is expected, especially for beers which might be available in one but not others. (Such as Yuengling in MA, but not CT or RI.)
- I've had beer in my checked in luggage, flying out of Hartford, Nashville, Charlotte, and San Antonio
- Elkton, Maryland has at least three liquor stores on/near the Delaware state line, mostly for people passing through to other cities/states on 95. There's at least one just over the line on the Delaware side too.
That store has the highest ratings, plus check out the first review.
Amazing. Thanks so much.
FYI, BBM had some issues with the gov't here and won't be selling beer again until the 10th.
Edit: For other options consider:
McScrooge's Wine and Spirits (it's primarily a liquor store, but they carry high gravity beer due to TN's screwy alcohol laws) 307 N Peters Rd, Knoxville phone: (865) 691-6463
The Casual Pint (it's a bar/beer seller. not sure about their can selection) 234 Brookview Centre Way Ste 107, Knoxville phone: (865) 247-7061
Hops and Hollers (another bar/beer seller. it's new, but it's where i tracked down a 12pk of Summer Shandy) 937 N Central St, Knoxville phone: (865) 312-5733
If you can wait until you head to Nashville, Mike D could recommend some options for there. I just know Frugal MacDoogal's in Nashville.
I have 48 cans of Cigar City Jai Alai that i would love to trade! For those of you who haven't had it before, it is an amazing IPA. One of the best. I know that it is hard to get outside of Florida!

Please, I want some of this. What do you need in return?
Whatever craft beers you have! If it is something harder to get in FL, that would be awesome! I will probably be grabbing some Cigar City Invasion Pale Ale and Cigar City White Oak Jai Alai as well!

I don't know too many places around downtown, the local store here in Mt Juliet does a fantastic job of keeping a very nice variety and special ordering specific beers. Craft Brewed is a nice little place where you can find some tasty beers and they have a wine/liquor/high gravity store there now, but I haven't checked that out. If it hasn't been said yet and you have time in Nashville, be sure to check out Yazoo!!
A big +1 for All Day IPA, had my first one last week (at Craft Brewed actually) and it was most delicious
After consuming most of what I had stashed a couple weeks ago, I started to build again today:
Since the picture isn't showing, I've got:
Rhinegeist Zen Rhinegeist Truth Madtree Sprye Madtree Sol Drifter Bell's Oberon
Should double by the end of the week. Gotta add some Jackie O's selections and Two Hearted.
Another Cincinnatian I see. As of right now I'm bringing:
Rhinegeist Truth
Rhinegeist Cougar
MadTree Sprye
MadTree Happy Amber
I'm debating bringing anything more on the craft side. If anything I'll probably add some West Sixth Lemongrass Wheat. I'm banking on trading a lot of this at the exchange organized though Reddit, and other than that I'm planning on grabbing some Summer Shandy just to have a light, summer beer.

damn dude, nice work… i've got some catching up to do…
at the moment i just have Rivertowne's Hala Kahiki (pittsburgh) (pineapple beer) and North Country's Paleo IPA (slippery rock PA) along with some home-brew in glass that I'm trying to sneak in.
I'm still trying to keep my eye out for some good canned stuff, but good shit is hard to find.
how does anybody feel about me smuggling in some bottles of Victory's DirtWolf? i might give it a shot because i found a $40 case of it yesterday...

Yup, I live right near Kings Island. I'm gonna try and trade a bit, but it all depends how the weekend plays out. I've added some Madtree Psychopathy and Bell's Two Hearted to my pile. Probably shouldn't bring too much more since it's going to be mostly just me drinking those, cause my girlfriend isn't much of a drinker at all.

Okay folks, here's a treat for you. I just loaded up with a bunch of Sterling. Never heard of it? It was a legendary midwestern brand back in the day and has recently been revived here in Louisville. The best part: take a look at these cans:
The whole top pops off and you can drink from it like a glass. Brilliant. And it's a pretty good light-amber pilsner as well.
I am going on a Heady Topper run on Monday or Tuesday. I will try to get some if people want them, but I don't really have any beers on my wishlist, though.
If anyone wants a four-pack and wants to PayPal me or gimme cash at Roo, I will happily pic some up for you.

My buddy's bringing some Hopadillo IPA, and I'm sure would be more than happy to try some other craft beers. If you're interested in trying something from Houston than let me know.

I plan on loading one cooler with ice and beer after I get into Tennesee. Heading down I65 from the north to I24. Any liquor stores with good selections of canned beers right off the interstate? Thanks for any time saving tips on stores--hell, I'm already anxious to get there!
There are two liquor/beer stores here in Murfreesboro right off I24. Murfreesboro is halfway between Nashville and Manchester. I will get a list going tomorrow of what is in stock at both. I just picked up canned Founders Centennial, and I know they have a pretty good selection.

If you come across an extra 4 pack I'll gladly take one and give you cash. Or if there's a Chicago beer you think of that you'd like I can pick something up to do a trade.
